As someone who's used a lathe BRIEFLY (less than a month of real usage) it probably could be done? getting it to be perfectly round i can see being a challenge, but better than this would be quite easy If someone with significant experience is here please tell us lol

Ya know they have a golf tournament for only wooden clubs. Louisville Golf is still producing them. I actuly bought a set 20 years ago and they performed pretty well. I still have the laminated wooden putter. The clubs themselves were gorgeous. Why not a wooden ball tournament. That would be great❤❤❤

I had never seen a wooden ball until this past July. I bought a Madness while on vacation and was blown away by the inventory in the shop. I was given a tour of the shop and shown an undrilled wooden ball that was made before the standardization of ball size at 8 1/2". If I remember correctly, 8 1/2 became standard in the 1920's. This ball was 7 1/2" or 7 3/4".

As wood worker I have thought about making a wooden bowling house ball a few times. Wood is porous and it soaks up oil. The right right kind of hard wood it might could do pretty good. I wonder if my would freak out if I threw one. It might be a fun challenge to see who could make Packy the best ball.
