What a grand idea and you most certainly did a fantastic job organizing the event, not to mention capturing it all on film and I can relate a wee bit to that aspect. I’d love to participate next year if you’ll allow a Canadian!

Ethan, first off, thank you and everyone with the NMLRA for working in all the ways you do to preserve our history in its many forms. Without the NMLRA, who knows what knowledge may be lost. This was my first sort of shoot Iv'e been to, first time to friendship IN, and only the second time camping out. I have to say this was an absolute blast! Everyone was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful if needed. The woodswalk was fuper fun to shoot, the stories were great, and the memories are greater still. The trekking was super fun, I'll never forget it, and i can't wait for the next one! Keep up the amazing work buddy this was incredible!

I'm very disappointed that I couldn't attend this year, especially now that I know I missed camping with Jerry! I've known him for a long time and would have LOVED to be a witness to all those meeting him and hearing his stories for the first time!

Hey Ethan! Wow! OUTSTANDING! What a Great Time for everyone involved! I hope that this becomes an annual thing! The Candle Light Shoot was Inspired. But the things I enjoyed the most, were the gentle natured joshing, the stories told, and the great satisfaction of a shared experience! Well Done!

This was an incredible experience, thank you Ethan for providing us with this opportunity. Really did put our gear to the test, further more strengthen our gear for better use! We both learned a ton from it. Au cours du xviie siècle, ils entrèrent en contact avec les explorateurs, trappeurs et coureur des bois français et canadiens français qui arpentèrent leur territoire ainsi que celui du Pays des Illinois situé à l'ouest de leur territoire.

Though my knees prevented me from walking much and I didn’t know what to expect it was a great time for me to get back into shooting and trying to fit into my clothes that I had made. Thank you so very much for hosting this event. I look forward to the next one and being better equipped and in shape. I learned so much just listening to all the stories and made some new friends that I hope will be around for next year. Till we see each other again, may the sun shine on your face and the wind be at your back my new friend.

This was a great video. Me and my wife are getting into rendezvous have participated in 2 so far,I used to go as a kid with my grandpa. This is the kind of content needed to get more interest in a dwindling down part of history, great job and great content I can't get enough of muzzleloader shooting. Keep your barrel clean and powder dry.

You should mount a gimbal on the end of the barrel so you can use it like a selfie stick as well as a pov camera when pointing away from you. That would make some good woods walk videos.

I loved your video, and it reminds me of the time in my life when we had a lot commraderie (sp), and a common love of history while reenacting the American Civil War. Unfortunately we don't have anyone participating in similar 18th century living histories around me in here in Florida. Being in my mid-seventies, and in failing heath I doubt It will happen, but I enjoy all of your videos immensely.

I’m wanting to get into reenacting I’m 16 years old . I recently got an ancestry test have found out about my frontier ancestry I had one who was one of the first people in the Nashville area in 1779. I also had an ancestry who was at the battle of kings mountain. And a frontier scout who burned many Cherokee villages in the tellico area during the revolutionary war . I just need some pointers on where to buy the authentic clothes , and kinda a few starting points on what to get !! I would very much appreciate it feel obligated to honor my ancestors through living history !!
