As some who takes Dexedrine (adhd med) and who researches all my meds because I don't trust doctors: The brain makes the chemicals (dopamine) and the medication Icky is specially taking has amphetamine so it's adding more alongside delaying reuptake (brain cell throws out chemical to connect to other brain cell, gives it a bit, before sucking it back in for future use. Basically the med makes them stay out there for a little longer). Anyway, I legit opened this video and it got me to fold my laundry while on my meds. Thanks!

If F1nn eats like that all the time, that might explain a good bit of his depression. An instant pot greatly helped the quality of my diet b/c it lets me cook massive quantities of healthy soup in the laziest way possible. Also oatmeal.
@mittfh5 ай бұрын
Microwaves can be a boon for quick, easy and relatively nutritious food: porridge (oatmeal), baked beans and soup can be cooked in under 3 minutes with no need to watch over or stir the food, scrambled eggs in under 2 minutes (although you do have to stop, check and stir periodically, so a bit more fussy). Then for single main meals, cook the protein part (for them, the veggie equivalent of pies, sausages, kievs etc) in the oven, then with a microwave steamer, the potatoes and vegetables can be some in the microwave in 10-15 minutes, depending on the variety of potato.

yes all of these. I've had depression my whole life and had a period in my teens/early 20s where it was really bad and I had to medicated for it. Ashley - Regarding ads ("I don't get ads"). Penzey's spices in America is extremely LGBTQ+ friendly as a company. To the point where the owner takes pride in people saying they won't order anymore because of his public and constant LGBTQ+ public support. I think you would be a very appropriate fit for them in terms of ads. And if you are somehow a "brand risk" for other companies, you'd be a perfect "brand fit" with them. Not sure if you are even looking for sponsors. Just a thought.

As a chemistry student, I think your explanation of a prodrug was pretty decent. Elvanse is amphetamine + L-lysine and the lysine needs to be cut off first before the amphetamine part can do its thing. The problem with Elvanse specifically is that it's kind of a bad prodrug because lysine is a little too easy to cut off.
@zekiz7745 ай бұрын
But isn't that kind of the point? A relatively slow release of Amphetamine. Also usually you wouldn't want it to work for more than 12h so you are able to sleep and normal Amphetamine already kinda does.

There are sadly very few options for ADHD meds in the UK: 1 stimulant (methylphenidate); 2 central nervous system stimulants (lisdexamfetamine and dexamfetamine); 1 SNRI (atomoxetine); and an adrenergic receptor agonist (guanfacine). You cannot get a prescription for alternative meds like bupropion (an NDRI), which can help with ADHD and depression, especially for folks for whom the other meds do work.
@therideneverends16975 ай бұрын
if you can get the proper old school 50s formula Dexedrine spansuls those things are a great ADHD med while also being highly effective for both anxiaty and depression compared to alot of other amphetamine derivatives. I mean these things to me atleast literally delete the concept of anxiety for its duration, even big problems are, "no worries, ill figure out how to handle things, where do we start" instead of freezeing up it, That optimism carrys over into things overall and really improves mood. It also feels less compulsive or "on something" than alot of the other amphetamines. The good mood feels more natural and background than say Adderall which is "WAKEY WAKEY ITS TIME TO GO MFER"

The title of this video is so funny to me as someone who's been on ADHD medication from childhood. It's interesting how taking ADHD medication is a big enough deal for some people for it to be the whole title of a KZbin video (understandably if it's new to the person, but the title doesn't say that which is what makes it funny), meanwhile it's so normal and unmemorable to me that my brain really rarely stores the memory of doing so (which isn't very safe but whatever).
