This episode really hit me some type of way...I lost my best friend to his battle with depression two weeks ago. He honestly reminded me a lot of Jesse, so positive and influential. He just had this way to make you happy no matter what mood you were in. Just know that you're such an inspiration to so many people, and that goes past the spectrum of physical fitness. Someone with as big of a stage as you showing that mental health needs to be taken seriously means the world to me.

Awful news, sorry to hear it. If anyone else is suffering with depression, get to a doc and get yourself on Prozac - it will stop you from doing anything rash (after 14 days or so), and turn those feelings down, giving you time - and a clearer mind - to work on your issues. Give yourself a year on it, it worked for me.

This made me shed such beautiful tears of gratitude. No kidding. I cried hard. I love what your doing and the positive impact you have on people. I'm a 49 year old 30-year veteran bodybuilder it was Battle depression my entire life. I've actually admitted myself in five mental institutions and five drug rehabs all throughout my life. I love that you're doing this because I just started doing ice baths 2 months ago and I have nothing has helped me more with my depression and confidence that ice baths. And of course I have to thank wimoff for that and you know the last week I've got a little complacent and didn't take one after taking him every day for a month and the depressing kicked in hard. And I was having trouble getting motivated to take one tonight in your video came up and I just watched it and preparing to get in one right now and I got to thank you for that because you just motivated me

Jesse, as a therapist, I totally support your approach. One thing and this is super important. When referring to depression or any temporary condition, do not use ''My'' as in my depression. The subconscious mind is very literal and believes everything you say if associated with feeling. My anxiety, My migraines, etc. Change that to ''The depression, The anxiety!'' That disassociates from the temporary condition and away from the permanent, MY or Mine.

It’s crazy to see the way Jesse’s attitude changed in the morning unintentionally from building that dopaminergic relationship with the cold plunge. Like you can see him get more excited and motivated to get in the water as well as spending more time seeking out the cold from starting in the shower to waking up a lot earlier and going out in nature. Regardless of the benefits he mentions, this video is a great show of the way the cold plunge affects dopamine.

It really goes to show it doesn't matter where you are in life, you can't escape mental health struggles. It makes people feel closer and more connections with thier struggles no matter who you are. I've been cold plunging for 3 months now and I've never been more productive and have given up smoking and drinking and staying focused is alot easier despite struggling with adhd my whole life... cold plunge is like a life cheat code. . . Stay relentless brother, I'll see you in the gym

Nice to know I'm not the only one struggling with mental health, cold plunges really help with anxiety. Thanks Jessie.

Damn bros that speech had me teary like a bitch. Mental health needs to be talked about amongst us bros more. Too many of us suffer in silence. It’s truly great to see you changing things up. I’m also someone who is always stuck in my head. It makes it very hard for me to be in the moment like you said and sometimes to even enjoy myself. The gym is the place where I can have that moment. Lord knows I almost lost my battle with depression last year and have done quite the work with my forearm if I’m honest. The gym really brought me out of all that thankfully. I’m now gonna be a father at 27 in April of a wonderful boy. Now I have to be here for him and my girl brahs 😢. Can’t check out early and I will change. We will all make it brahs love all y’all who strive to be the best versions of themselves. we will all make it.

I got admit Jesse, I always saw myself a/ pretty brute person, but watching your video me realized that I have to take the steps in order to make myself better in terms of mental health and environmental awareness. I need to be more in touch with the earth I live in. definitely taught me some good ways to do it! Thank you brother.

At Wim Hof. He was seconds away from dying twice, i thought maybe he would connect the dots later. "i had no thoughts and just saw images of my loved ones" but he never connected the dots. Wild.

Thank you Jesse I really needed this, I suffer really bad with depression (served 6 years in the British Army) and never been the same since I left and it’s gotten gradually worse over the years but I am always looking for things to try to combat it and heard a lot about cold water exposure and so this video was amazing to me ❤ from England
