FAST Test is a heck of a test of a lot of skills.

I did the FAST Test today. It took me 4 or 5 tries to start shooting it clean. (I was dropping my second head shot, with a DA/SA gun. Seems strange.) After that, I got to where I could do it consistently (clean) in the 6.8 range. I was pretty happy with that. ... I totally agree with you, getting down to 5 seconds is a whole 'nother ballgame! That is going to take a lot of work. ... Thanks for the video!

Good work! The time penalty for missing a head shot is 2 seconds!

I’ve been working on the fast drill for about a year now. Two weeks ago I shot it clean in 5.2 seconds and 5.4 seconds. It’s tough. Trying to find a half a second is hard to do. I usually reload at about 2.7 seconds I’m trying to get it down to 2.2. Next time.

I don't think Ernest teaches beginners classes. He's a national-level trainer and is the guy you go train with after your second or third class.

Hey John,,, watched this one couple times Andi think your muzzle was pointed at a pretty high angle during reload.... gonn a watch couple more tines.... hope I'm not put of place saying I think I seen something...

You likely did. I was using the reload method taught by Ernest in the class, which at this range is no biggie. The desert behind the berm is a safe place for rounds to come down if you have a discharge in that direction. Not optimal for sure.

Oh ok great I will be taking that same class October this year I don’t have a whole lot of experience shooting the fast drill and other drills like that but I do work on grip , sight alignment , drawing my gun and dry fire quite often
