I met Ernie at a match a few years ago. Super, super nice guy, and there are probably not 10 people on this earth who can equal or exceed his skill set. He's the best DA/SA instructor in the world and dismantled some 1911 pros, including Rob Leatham, with a DA/SA Sig Sauer P220 several years ago.

Idk don’t count out Martin Riggs being on the same or even better skill set lol

I shoot a local IDPA type match with someone who REALLY shoots a 92 well. Typically in the top 10. His pistol has had no work on it; simply well broken in from many hours of dry fire and range time. He is 16, making guys with high $$ guns look bad.

Mr. Langdon is an absolute amazing shooter! Much respect sir! We all should aspire to shoot as well especially if we carry a gun for self defense. Rick

Oh John, you really aren't very nice putting up a video showing off those Beretta 92 pistols. I've just drooled all over my keyboard watching you guys talking about and shooting those beauties. But seriously, I would love to first try one and I'm sure after putting a few hundred rounds down range I would love it. And watching Ernest shoot is so much fun and at the same time so dang frustrating. Thanks for posting up another great video. I should have the keyboard on my laptop all cleaned up and dried out by the time you post up another one of these "teaser" videos..... ;~) Keep yourselves safe! Randy

This had some really good tips on DA/SA trigger pull. After buying my CZ P09 I’ve looked everywhere to find a professional’s philosophy on operating a DA/SA gun. This information is so valuable you might want to consider retitling the video.

Pete, you used to play guitar in Petra, didn't you? I saw you in Memphis in 99 on the God Fixation tour. Broomtree opened. You were amazing. St. Augustine's Pears was my favorite. Hope that you are well and still in the faith.

I live my Elite LTT. It makes my Wilson Combat M9A1 trigger seem amateur in comparison. Great video!

How is the comparison? I was looking at the wilson combat also

I love my 92a1 it's got all W/C hardware but I can hit a spent 12gauge cartridge at 20yrds with it. It always gets attention at the range in my opinion it's a gun of conasuiers.

It's funny. When I shoot my 92 I often finding myself shooting the DA shots as well or better than SA because I'm focusing so much harder on my DA trigger press and getting a little too confident about the SA shots.
@ASPextra6 жыл бұрын
I think that's not uncommon.
@bigghoss7626 жыл бұрын
@@ASPextra I've heard a few other guys say they do that too. I think I even read a post from Mr. Langdon on Pistol Forum where he said he's done that. Honestly I'll catch myself getting sloppy anytime I notice I'm shooting well.

John, do u think practice at longer distance like 10-15yrds will translate to more accurate close shots? Anything less than 7-10yrds makes me feel like I'm cheating.... Should I start adding more close range? Usually I do like 10% close and 90% 10+yrds...
@ASPextra3 жыл бұрын
Do some close, some farther. The closer shots let you work speed mode.

Heavy slide/light slide. Yes, the recoil is slightly different, but it doesn't mitigate recoil. Some would say a light slide yields a faster cycling, and they may prefer that. Others would point out that a heavier slide slows the recoil pulse, making it feel softer. I see the same arguments made with AR BCG's and buffers. It's probably personal choice rather than one's better than the other.
