Mr, Langdon was given mt Beretta Elite I 20+ years ago when I wanted to go into USPSA Production class. I, at the time found the Glocks ugly as sin, and the Elite was what Ernest used to win big time. When I got it back, it was amazing!!! I went from Unqualified in Production to "B" class in 6 months. It is my GO TO gun when the shit hits the fan. "Dime sized groups"? UBETCHA!! i LOVE my Elite I and would NEVER let it go!

Such a common story. Striker folks trying DA/SA, realizing the “difficulty” of the action is all hyperbole, and falling in love with the system. I’ve never been a big polymer/striker guy. I love my CZ’s and Berettas. Every time I have a friend or relative give them a try they want one and start carrying it. I got my niece a 92 compact and she loves it. Her brother is a big striker guy and alway bad mouthed DA/SA. Until he tried her gun. Instantly loved it, said he was jealous, and has been looking for his own 92 compact for carry ever since.

I've heard of some shooters getting occasional light primer strikes with the 12 pound spring, even with name brand ammo, but not with the 13 pound one. With my luck, just when I most needed the pistol to fire, I'd get a light strike.

Wow, thanks John! I am just beginning to learn who these people are, how good they are, AND the respect they have worked hard to earn in the personal defense "community". I also really don't know much about handguns and this video was loaded with a bunch of great information. You've got me wanting to take a really close look at a Beretta now. And the Keepers holster..... gotta take look at those also. Thanks again for posting up the video. Be safe. Randy

Thank you Samuel, that's about the best advice for every one of us "beginners" when it comes to handguns and self defense/concealed carry. I just took a CCW1 class 2 weeks ago and a CCW2 class yesterday. I'm happy with my progress although it can be frustrating watching someone able to shoot very tight groups under stress/pressure and me doing my best to hit the target...... I understand it's a skill that takes time(and a whole lot of practice) and I look forward to learning more. :~)

I would like to say that a Beretta 92 can be made to shoot great by just adding a #14 hammer spring. My M9’s have all the bells and whistles, but they were fine with just a lighter spring. Same with my PX4 Compact Carry pistols. It doesn’t take much to hit a nickel size bullseye in DA with these pistols. Great Stuff, Guys!

@@ASPextra Agreed, other than the polishing of the sear and hammer, most of the magic of the LTT trigger job is in the geometry of the their optimized performance trigger bars. Nowadays one can also order the kit with the match hammer option, which not only lightens both trigger pulls, but reduces SA pre-travel to just a couple of milimeters. LTT really gave that gun a new lease on life.

What I was told was the D spring is bomb-proof reliable, the 14lb is like 99.5% reliable, and once you go to 13 or 12 its somewhat gun specific and dependent on keeping the top end clean, as Ernest mentions in the video. Personally, I've found the 14's work really well, I don't have to worry about them, and the triggers are still really pleasant to shoot.

Is this gun (92) easier to rack than a 84fs cheetah? (We have two cheetahs) .My husband is looking at LTT for a full size 92. For example your proclivity, (as seen on Facebook) for a buttery trigger pull is complete nonsense, and I for one don’t really care, nor is it necessary to any video seen herein. I am certain the both of you are gentlemen, and it is not necessary for anyone to converse about what either of you stated in recent Facebook posts. This video is evidence of how far from a readily teachable point can be obliterated and while some may actually engage others in inane and nonsensical dialog solely because ones feelings about a trigger pull, how a trigger may be packaged, or for that matter a tractor pull for gods sake might make you warm on the inside. If there is a point to the dialog the both of you are engaged in, please make it and move on. We know you are turned on by guns, we get it. Talking about it is nauseating. Please get to the point and avoid the weeds, I appreciate your efforts, and wish you well, but your love for a trigger is downright weird.
