wonderful learning all about your mum's adventures when she was young. We forget , when people get old, that they had lived interesting lives. Our society seems to have lost the culture of listening to the elders. Which is a pity, because they have so much to teach us. I've just spent a really pleasurable 20 minutes listening to you and your mum, and feel all the happier for having done that. So thank you.

Hey Rosie, dat was a lot my language I heard !! I moved from Holland to California over 40 years ago. Wat leuk dat je met je moeder op pad kan en al die fietstochten samen kon doen. My Canadian husband came to pick me up from Amsterdam to LA where he lived. We retired to Monterey eventually where he passed some 20 years ago. I am 88 now and housebound. I have subscribed to your channel for years and enjoy it very much. I admire your can do attitude and your many talents. Thank you for posting ! Love from Monterey ❤❤

I love how real you are with your feelings with no exaggeration or modesty - enabling them to pass over you with no resistance but rather with acceptance. video editing of the outdoors is unbelievable. And I especially love this video. Cherish your mama. We don’t realize how quickly our mom’s age, how time passes by so fast. Their stories and voices gone to history, their quirks that may have annoyed us are the things we miss the most. Write down her recipes and her stories. Enjoy your mom.

Initially, I was sad that this new video would not be about what you’re up to with your home building/summer gardening. But, sadness was short lived as I am a big fan of mothers & daughters (being one & having some 😉). I think we already knew what a treasure your mum is from seeing her in other videos. I always love your comments filled with honesty & subtle humor & am in awe of your videography skills (& the time that takes to get such excellent results). Many of us must be envying what a wonderful adventure to have & keep alive in your heart …spent with the person who gave you life. Thank you for sharing this special time with all of us. Thing is with "different" nature and wild nature in Götaland is that it's a bit harder to feel alone there. Hiking routes with "wilder nature" and different scenic paths are very popular and not very wild feeling. I can warmly recommend the granit cliffs in Bohuslän for walking but you won't be alone in late spring to september. The birch forests is an different forest all together as is the Oak forest on Visingsö. If one wants no forest in the southof Sweden then Allvaret on Öland, the rockformations on Gotland and the cliffs of the west coast is the closest. You have mountain not to far north in Värmland and Dalarna. Our two mountains in Västra Götaland are covered in forest.
