I've seen lots of spectator videos of Nurburgring, but never a POV. Thanks for posting this. I own a 98 LS400.

It’s not a manual buddy, I shift the auto manually, I left foot brake mostly and I also rev match the auto (takes some getting used to it).

Hey man, I've got a 95' LS400 and I was wondering if you'd recommend doing a coil setup. The reason I ask is because I daily drive the car. Any and all advice is appreciated, love your car and your channel!

I dailyed(?) it for 4 years on coilovers until I got my work car. It’s honestly really plush even on coilovers. The suspension arms setup is very well suited for anything. Sometimes it feels more comfortable in this state than my 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander in its standard state. You’re welcome to check my other videos and see the places I’ve driven this thing and how well it’s done. If you’re not too fussed about the cruise ship ride quality and don’t mind something that handles a bit *sigh* sportier then I recommend some REASONABLY sprung suspension setup. I went for the default BC Racing 12kg/mm (front) and 8kg/mm (rear) setup as it allowed driveability and sporting abilities

@@ConstantinSPurcea Thank you so much for giving me the specs you picked out, frankly I love how Plush it is but I've been looking for a bit more cornering ability so this sounds absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for the advice, I hope you have a great day!

Im wondering if I should put some high profile rims and low profile tires on my 90 LS400, when I corner too hard the tires squish to the side and I lose traction in corners. And also, I think the LS400 does way better in straightaways rather than handling corners.
@ConstantinSPurcea4 ай бұрын
@@LSnium they definitely can improve the handling. However the correct tyre would also make a huge difference. Some tyres just do not like sudden changes in direction at all. But lower profile tyres allow for less sidewall flex and thus more predictable when you do lose traction, which can happen more easily seeing as the whole thing is more “rigid” but if you run a good sports tyre with a lot of tread width and your alignment is pretty decent and the ball joints are solid (no play) then you’ll have pretty good control of the car. Damper stiffness can also make a lot of difference, that’s why multi-way adjustable coilovers are a good choice. Soft when you want them to. Harsh and sharp when you need them to.

@@ConstantinSPurceaIm very on the fence about doing mods to my car as it does good already and roads and highways here in California are all mostly straight and high speed and the car already handles good stock, I have a couple friends who have lowered and put aftermarket suspension and wheel parts on their LS400s and maybe theyll give me a ride in theirs to see how it feels.

how did you make that setup with the radio unit?
@ConstantinSPurcea7 ай бұрын
Toyota to ISO harness, extended the cables to reach to the amp under the seat, unplugged from the amp, plugged into harness, plugged into head unit and it didn’t work. Until I looked at the wiring diagram and changed two wires around I think it was orange and red and it worked right away after. I also got lucky with this CD-less unit as it’s shorter and it’s the exact length of that spot where the ashtray used to be.

I’m also not using the single din frame as it just about fits without the frame. So I have to insert the unit from behind the wood panel instead of the front.
