There is a similar situation I am dealing with at the end of your vid. I wanna play other characters as well but I wanna get Tekken King. I recently hopped back into rank after a few month break and took Yoshimitsu from mighty ruler to Fujin this past Sunday. Only thing is, I am about to be slammed with studying and work 😭 Idk what grind I wanna put myself through. Getting other characters to different blue ranks or solo maining with Yoshi. Also I can’t wait for the victor vids 🔥 I always like seeing people try other characters out

Tekken 8 is my first serious fighting game. I've been having a blast learning the game. Yoshi and Kuma main, but i have a mentality of wanting to try every character. So now imma try to rank up every charcter in order :D

Man, that intro...I can't tell you how many times my inputs get messed up with the d-pad. Random backflips, d2 coming out as df2 or db2 and messing combos...thought it was just me (which it still kinda is). Congrats on Emperor!

You can get some clicks buttons for your controller I picked some up and modded my ps5 controller. The clicky buttons I got from all express just make sure to check what version your controller is like the bdm

All PS controllers, even new ones in my experience, work like that. That is actually how I began doing CD inputs, just f, then d, then roll the finger. Imo if you keep using a controller you just have to learn how to work with it

That is not what I presented in the video. I explained that I'm pressing on just one d-pad button and I'm getting different inputs while applying pressure on the ~one~ d-pad button. I've played on controllers for long as I remember and it wasn't this bad on older generation controllers.

@@delusional-lobo yes, that's the same experience I have. I am a PC player since T7 so I started with the DS4, that was my experience from the start. With "rolling the finger" I meant "start pressing on the side of a single d-pad button" to get a quick diagonal. Maybe there are better controllers that don't have this behaviour

@OverlordGattone ahh OK you've confused me there. Yup, that's exactly what's happening. I feel the dualshock 5 controller is too sensitive at picking up pressure. I don't remember this problem on the dualshock 4 controllers. Either way, I'll just invest on some augmented d-pads that aren't interconnected, so I may not get these problems😑

I find the same issue dealing with Hworang too.I am a Jin main (Fujin) and most of the time i can manage with Hwo.Picking up Yoshi however (i am currently maining him) feels a lot harder.Its like i am defenseless.I cannot dik Jab him in order to brake his strings(if i am not in No Sword Stance) and he feels like he always has good frames, making him unpublishable.Though the guessing game sometimes works, it's not quite consistent cuz Hwo has too many string options.Either i end up tanking dmg with F4 or missing flash.Any tips?

@@delusional-lobo Hwoarangs are usually really aggressive, so you can usually flash in between their strings. Once you flash them during a string, they'll play much passive and most of the times their defense and neutral isn't good. It helps to reset to neutral and switch to NSS for bigger flash range if your flash is whiffing Also a lot of their pressure has a built-in low that can be parried, but it does require some labbing or playing the character yourself a little

I was low key expecting more Indian stance from you after the buffs. I know you like to do fc df4 a lot and flowing into Indian after that is pretty solid in the right spots now, but you play the neutral neutral so you got it gang. Also bro about the whole “can’t lab because you don’t know the character enough to put it in training” thing is what the replay system is for. Replay the match, go to a time where the hwo or raven or whoever is hitting you with some fucked up sequence and lab it.

The replay system isn't really the best place to simulate how to practice different situations In a controlled manner, they only help to give answers to the situation at present. What would be nice is a list of the usual strings Hwoarang would follow up by so I can build the reactions and muscle memory against those options. Either that or I need to lab him as if he's my main for about week to get a better understanding of the character's traits.

Just got demoted from Kishin... God I hate how many times Yoshi moves just whiff when you launch someone or in mid-combo, or won't even talk about walls... How we have to split our asses in half just to try and win. Trying to party move against the majority of characters is just hard because they always being unga-bunga and interrupting you, not even require to block or think/guess what you'd be doing. Just stand against yoshi and most of his pressure or 50/50 is done. Just beware the samurai cutter, even that dudes just dickjab or hopkick. While bois like Hwo and others can spam you with non-stop pressure where not even flash would work to stop the non-sense. And how these characters limit your moveset to 6-7 basic moves, because everything else is 50000 startup or unsafe. Feels like in this kind of aggressive playstyle Yoshi deserves the same treatment, at least fix his hitreg pls, so when we get that slight chance to launch someone at least work. Sorry for comment :D I'm letting my steam out

Agreed, he even insults Yoshimitsu saying he's not a real ninja even though Yoshi is capable of much more advanced technique. Not to mention he's outranked by both master raven and Victor. Dude has a sperg personality too.
