Everybody is handling this way too well. The lack of panic, delirium inducing terror and going into shock feels incredibly unrealistic. The main character isn't believably shity, he comes across like he has almost no emotional investment in any of this at all. I think the best example of the unrealistic detachment is the kid coming back, missing an eye, after being forced to watch a literal monster tear his friend's intestines out and devour them in front of him (along with the missing eye) and then being able to not only find his way back with a concussion but be able to relay the events verbally within 24 hours. That kid should either be curled up in a ball dead somewhere or almost completely unresponsive from going into shock. If you have ever watched a person be forcibly relieved of their eyeball they aren't exactly in the most present State of mind afterwards TLDR: damn, this some dog shit💯
