Awesome video and effort! I just ordered a grey Fordyce and is supposed to deliver today! Very impressed with the Fordyce. Only thing I’m disappointed is that the shocks started to leak. This is just an estimate but let’s assume this long journey of 19km or 11miles would usually take a week worth of regular usage. That essentially means you’d have to rebuild the shocks very frequently, basically every 5 trips or so. I love my VS410 phoenix but it is also has issues with shocks leaking. The shocks leaking seem to be the shortcoming of this truck and it’s a shame because I think they’re some of the smoothest shocks I’ve owned. But again with that one thing out of the way I’m VERY impressed with the VS4 and the new Fordyce edition. Side note: I would be very interested in a 0% overdrive or a lower 1-3% overdrive. As of now I’m not seeing a good way to accomplish that. Atleast not using VP parts. All I see are 8% and 21% Anyone know of a gear set to accomplish this?
@scalebuildersguild Жыл бұрын
No gears will allow for 0%, that I know of anyway. When you rebuild your shocks, use green slime. That should help! Thanks for watching and good luck!
@americanbigfoot7881 Жыл бұрын
@@scalebuildersguild never used green slime but i always use O-ring lube. I got my Fordyce and I like it a lot just like my Phoenix. However I had some small issues. Just like my Phoenix the bed panels are paper thin and the Fordyce arrived with two tears in the bed panels, the biggest being about a half inch long. There was zero damage to box during shipping. And the right rear lug nut was so tight my DeWalt driver wouldn’t loosen it and I couldn’t loosen it with any RC hand tool that had a screwdriver or nut driver like handle. I had to use a 1/4” drive ratchet with a handle to have enough leverage to loosen it. Checked the threads and threads are perfect and not cross threaded and no debris in threads. I don’t know why/how it got so tight. I’d also like to see VP include some parts trees and body posts like Axial and Traxxas. Other than those couple small things, I think the Fordyce is fantastic just like my Phoenix. Again, much respect to you and HD for your hard work in putting out great content, keep it up!
