I felt the same way brother, took a new Maverick XLT Tremor for a test drive, it was fast and zippy, fun. I almost took the bait hook line and sinker but something in my gut said WAIT.

I love both of my Mavericks, Hybrid XL and XLT Tremor. Wouldn't trade them for anything. Recalls and all.

@no1up Thats true, But I ordered all three of my trucks. And I paid less than MSRP. The key is ordering and a good dealer.

With Ford's quality control issues, the constant recalls, wise decision. And I've had Fords all my life, until recently. No more. Bought a 2024 Nissan Frontier, SV 4X4, long bed, such a pleasure to drive.

Congratulations 🎉on your trade. Consumer Reports just published their “Reliability” report and “Hybrids” offer the most reliable overall. To me, the pressure under which the turbocharged engines are far more susceptible to failure than a naturally aspiration engine and the history of eCVT electric motors and gears are twenty five years now. Very reliable. Also, the 1.1 kilowatt battery will only get less expensive to replace well past its warranty period. Cheap plastics are a factor, but I find the care I assert mitigates that. Also, there are items you can buy to protect the touch items to help.

I think the Mac will end up being pretty solid. It just wasn’t for me. I’m 5’8” 220lb and just couldn’t get comfortable. That’s just me though. For me, the Mav was just too cheap plastic for me. But hey, if she fires up and drives, ultimately, that’s what counts!

Mine looks like brand new and it’s a 22. I got it the end of 21 October. Actually it’s the best vehicle I have ever owned and I’m 66 so I’ve owned quite a few. I sure as heck would not trade it in for a Nissan that’s for sure. Actually this is gonna be my last vehicle and it’s treating me well it’s an absolute gas miser I think I’m getting about 8/100 kilometres absolutely love this vehicle! Use the cruise control don’t be an idiot!

I have a buddy he bought his 1st Nissan Hardbody in 1986 new, he traded it with 500,000 miles ion his 2nd one that now has 395,000 miles on it. Can't go wrong with Nissan. I've had several Nissans over the years. Have a 2021 Nissan Rouge sv now with 60k on it. We love it.

Good food for thought. Im not sure why some people get so upset when people dont like the same things as them. For the reasons mentioned in your video I feel like the Maverick is best closer to its most basic cost trim. Something designed to start at 20k when 20k vehicles are almost extinct is gonna be cheap. Ive also heard that the Bronco uses the same interior plastic despite being not so cheap so maybe its just a weird choice on fords part.

I mean, even the highest trim mav is cheap plastic. This truck was never meant to sell over 30K. I do miss the MPG but I’m pretty happy with the Frontier. Hopefully you won’t have any trouble with yours. The Mav seems to be pretty reliable so far.

Talk about nit-picking! I've had mine 6 months and not a scratch/dent anywhere, inside or out. My foot never gets tired, but I use that modern invention called cruise control. You are going from a truck rated best by every professional reviewer to one that gets mid-level ratings, if that. Sounds like you might need some psychiatric help.
