@@AlexRomeis there only one version of serum ,,because I followed a video of yours today and even after the first step it sounded nothing like what you had …is it possible you had done a lot more behind the scenes before even starting the video? @@007cambon I was actually able to follow along that video and create very similar sounds using Alchemy instead of Serum... You just need to pay attention to the sounds he creates, and watch the video closely, don't pay attention only to what he suggests verbally. Like any good teacher I guess, Alex will not spoon-feed you, so you need to tweak and test the knobs to learn more about what sounds are created and how you can control them. I'm sure that with Serum you'll do a better job than my Alchemy trials, as it's the same synth and has the basic waveforms shown in the video ;)

Just wanted to say thank you Alex for all the hard work you put in to provide us with such great tips to improve our game! We may not be interested in the same genres of Electronic Music at all, but in the end it doesn't matter because I definitely still learnt quite a few things from you, the knowledge you provide is essential and a great startup point for any genre of music at all! Thank you for always sharing with such a positive vibe that is uniquely yours!

Is it possible to make professional tracks on smartphone daws such as FL studio mobile or cubase? Cause i know desktop daws are enriched by plugins and performance

Not professional for sure, unless u have premixed and pre mastered samples
@Phonognomiks3 ай бұрын
Maybe a matter of time - when I was young „Fruity Loops“ was also decry to be not „professional“ until people created Songs with it which went Platinum and became Movie Trailer! (Garrix / Avicii / …) And I never used the tool, as I am (Pro Tools/Cubase/Ableton/…) and I mainly also don’t listen to their music -> But you have to give them the respect they deserve, dead or alive … So mainly a matter of how you use it and what type of music you want to produce.

As an fl studio user, while the mobile version does not have all the features the desktop version has, it absolutely has enough to make professional tracks, and recording.

great video alex! i really loved the cinematic sound your student used in that set of chords.. also i know drums can be relatively easy if you know the different patterns. but i am curious to know how to incorporate more natural and organic sounds to fill the beat in. a good example of this would be SWIM - ford. remix , if you could make a tutorial for that id be forever thankful :)
