Another tip for hanging door wreaths. I connect two wreaths by a long loop of ribbon and then just loop the ribbon over the door, displaying a wreath on either side of the door. No nails or hooks and you get to enjoy a wreath on the indoor side of your entry

Great idea. If you have wood on top of the door ( the part that is flush up against the framing when the door is closed) like I have had in every house I have lived in, you can just use a thumbtack and push it through the top of the ribbon and into the very top of the door that stays, the tack stays covered and up high when the door shuts.

I love the idea of remaking out of date or worn decorations and turning them into your current style. So much better than constantly buying new things. More cost effective and less waste. Love your DIYs Liz. Last year I hosted a Christmas decoration swap. I invited my friends to bring any decorations they no longer wanted (in good condition). We displayed them all and then each person took home what appealed them. It was so successful as a pre-Christmas event, We are doing it again this year. Hreat way to recycle. 🤩

Great job updating your old Christmas decor! Last year I spray painted all these snowmen I had collected over the years. This is my husband and my 31st Christmas married and those snowmen were old and dingy. I sprayed them all solid white and put them up with Target’s dollar spot trees that I gave a flocked look to with some chalk paint. Everyone that saw them raved even my hubby who only puts up the tree and the outside lights. Thanks for sharing!

Omg! THANK YOU!!!! Someone else who agrees!!!! Traditional Thanksgiving Food is not a favorite in our family either! The person cooking never wants to eat it by the time it’s done, it’s an all day thing, there are SO MANY LEFTOVERS- SO! We started a tradition a few years ago and we decided we would grill steaks and make whatever our favorite side is. It’s so much more chill and everyone is less grumpy by the end of the day. 🥰

This was a fun video. I think we all have Christmas decor we put away, forget all about it and, when we take it out again, we can't imagine buying it at all! My favorite updates are the reindeer stocking holders, repainted and mounted on the mantle, and the gold tree covered with the red sweater strips. The flower arrangement went from drab to fab! The black reindeer were a great recycle. You gave the house a beautiful metallic color. Table runner - Even though the tree turned out pretty, I cringed when you cut up the table runner! The sleigh is super cute with the trees packed in. Way to go Liz. I have the same faux silver set of deer with cups on top to hold little ball candles in them. I did the exact same by removing mine.
