Hi Gail, you are so right about traveling alone! As a newly divorced 50th woman, I began to first learn to eat in restaurants alone, then I took a giant leap and booked a weekend in LasVegas to see BonJovi concert. So much fun! So very empowering for a middle aged woman who was rebuilding confidence. I took several other weekend trips alone.The big one was to Scotland where. Did meet up with friends, traveled with them for a few days, anfd then finished up by myself again. Wonderful! I’ve also driven cross country several times to visit family & friends- I like taking a car since I’m not limited on luggage, comforts, etc. Thank you for your videos- I still haven’t been to NYC! Good for you to embark on solo travel. I was born in NYC, but have lived all over the US. Now, for the past 16 years , I live (and will die) in the PNW. You truly caught the essence of the beauty of this special place. Oregon’s coastline is spectacular, we have lots of wonderful memories there. Each day I’m more than grateful to be here. Oh my gosh, this was such an amazing video! I watched it twice! Your film making skills are SUPERB! I am so thrilled you had a fabulous time and so happy for you to be so blessed that you were with your dear , precious friend! ❤ l go to Seattle all the time, as I live in Vancouver Canada and in fact just got back 10 days ago...and Portland , Cannon Beach, Astoria and Seaside are also frequent favourite haunts! Looks like you hit all the iconic spots as well as humbly endured the famous fogs and dreamy morning chill by the water fueled by lots of delicious coffee 😋 we all look forward to going home peacefully and safely...so enjoy NYC now but do come back to the Pacific North West...it truly has a dreamy and lulling winsome pull...and this from an east coaster born in Toronto, who always misses back home. 😔😪 Stay safe and well Gail and enjoy the rest of the NYC summer!🤩 Ps. Its great to take a brake and go to a different place. Loved seeing Folks again and I also loved the Twilight movies. My fav seen is when the family walk into the cafeteria. It reminds me of when my husband and I first meet across a somewhat crowd room. We've been married for 50 years. There's a lot in these movies that are special too. I love the music and the fabulous scenery.

What a joyful video! I’ve been to Seattle twice but it’s been years. I feel like it hasn’t changed that much which is a good thing. I don’t know if you saw Mount Rainer as you flew in but it’s such a great preview of what is to come. I think I could live there except for the lack of air conditioning which was shocking to this Texas girl at the time. 😂 I love your thoughts on traveling alone. Also, I was team Edward too. 😊 P.S. Tillamook ice cream is the best ice cream.
