Thank you for this video... Excellent for someone who is contemplating doing grilling but has never done it before. I don't even have the grill yet. I want a grill that doesn't get dirty... I may just bring my Air-fryer outside so I can cook outside. I mean I am near 80 and just have the Wisdom of age... Keep it simple...

Thank you! Funny you say that as air fryer BBQs are becoming very popular - the Ninja Woodfire Electric BBQ/Smoker in particular gets incredible feedback and is essentially an air fryer you can fill up with wood pellets to create a smoky taste. I find the best step though regardless of the grill is to just make the cleaning easier - I find having a large ash bin next to the BBQ makes having a charcoal BBQ far more bearable, and getting some good cleaning tools like the ones mentioned make cleaning almost a non-issue. But there is always going to be some cleaning to be done!

Cover grill with aluminum , shiney side down , cover completely, heat grill on high for 20 minutes. Voila like self cleaning oven .😊

That's genius!

@@BBQExperiments I worked for a person that owned a gas company and they taught me that. Also if your not sure how much gas you have in propane tank you pour hot water down the side and it will make a ring where the gas level is. 😊

@@barbarahering484 That's a great little tip! Do you know if that works on MAPP blowtorch cylinders? I'm constantly trying to work out whether I need to change mine over or not

@@BBQExperiments I would think so try it! 😊

You’re supposed to soak the pumice for 5 minutes in water & a little dishwashing liquid. 😂

BBQ daddy seems interesting. I've also seen high recommendations for Grill Rescue which sort of looks similar.

Hadn't heard of that but looks nice - I like the shammy head on that one, I imagine it being really good on planchas/griddles and around cast iron bars but maybe less good on diamond/cross grates

I can't believe people still mix vinegar and bicarb. Why not? They cancel each other out. But hey, it looks cool 😂

Not convinced about your testing...

What would you change/do differently?

oskam92, with zero elaboration, are you insinuating some nefarious motives? My only question would be about old products like TSP or washing soda, along with the most popular commercial sprays like Easy Off.

Because you're using multiple products on the same area. I get it, grill space is limited so you only have so much area to test on. And it's not like you can reproduce a very dirty grill in a short amount of time either. But any products that were used on the same area had the benefit of the previous products on it as well.
