HELLO FRIENDS!!! sorry for the upload issues yesterday... hope you enjoy this silly attempt at doing one of cristine's videos! also, make sure to watch until the end to VOTE on what color i should dye my hair!! love u guys! EDIT: ALSO, as i said in the video, i didn't have enough lead time to buy the products from online, I only used what I could find in stores in person! So don't use what I use, get the stuff from cristine's links plz! i know cristine doesnt like glue base coats but i had to use what i could buy in person! and it worked fine for the purposes of the video.

Like yours, they can be "snaggly" and I've always been discouraged to grow my nails out or paint them so as to not draw attention to them. Next time you do it, 1. Don't let the gel flood your cuticles as it's next to impossible to remove it after it is cured in the LED lamp 2. If you aren't able to apply the polish without flooding the cuticles, I would suggest you take a very thin brush to paint near your cuticles 3. Do one nail at a time or do the application of the gel polish very fast as gel polish tends to self level 4. The black gel polish did cure in a minute but there is a tacky layer so it feels wet. If you are applying 1 moe coat of any gel polish, you don't need to wipe it but if it was your last layer, you need to take some cotton sprayed with rubbing alcohol and wipe off the tacky layer I am not a professional in nails but I have learnt this while doing my nails PS- Loved this video!

(You should watch cristine's aka simply nailogical's video about peel off basecoats) And you can use it as an alternative for liquid latex, but like I said before it takes *extremely* long to dry

It's an iron deficiency, but I kept mine tested for so long, then realised after seeing my aunts nail that it's a genetic defect on my mothers side of the family. So gel polish is actually supposed to have a sticky layer after curing, if you tap it and it feels like it’s still too wet, no need to worry, it is in fact cured after the 30 seconds. Also, to answer the question in the video: no, the LED light does not harm your skin in any way, you’re thinking of a UV light. Not trying to be snarky, just trying to be helpful :)

Emily Stromboe UV rays are the kind of rays that are in sunlight, that’s why at tanning salons they use UV lights. These rays can, in large amounts, cause harm to the skin, however, the wattage on a manicuring UV light is so low that you would have to have your hand in there for hours at a time before any damage is done. So yes, UV rays can be harmful, but using a manicuring light won’t any harm unless you’re intentionally leaving your hand in the light for extended periods of time, so if you’re using a UV light properly, you have nothing to worry about

Hello Safiya, Long time watcher, first time commenting. I wanted to say how much this video means to me. A long time I've been extremely self-conscious of my nail shape. Like yours, they can be "snaggly" and I've always been discouraged to grow my nails out or paint them so as to not draw attention to them. People who like makeup items are like; oh no there totally isn't an inherent societal expectation for women to use it and to use it to perfection, you can just do it for fun!
