I Tried! 5 Month Loc Update

Well Sydney will be loc for a total of 5 months on May 4. Because Syd's loctician is away for the holiday. And we are leaving for summer vacation the same day the stylist arrives back. I made the decision to retwist her starter locs on relaxed hair. This was my first attempt and I think they turned out beautifully. This loc hairstyle is great for little black girls around the world.

I want to add that since she's so tender-headed, you could do what's called a "light retwist." It doesn't require such tightly coiled palm rolled hair. Also, to alleviate the buildup, you could skip the gel/pomade and just use plain aloe vera gel. There's no need to use a comb either. You did a fabulous job, and I know you are so proud of her. ❤❤❤😊😊😊

I've followed you for quite sometime and Syd hair just grows so fast. I believe her locs were the best decision ever. She didn't make not one face which means there's No discomfort and I love that for her❤️. You did amazing with her retwist.

You did a great job. Try palm rolling them all the way to the bottom. And pin the dow at the top and bottom.

Well I definitely did that but I placed the clips at the root of her hair instead of the bottom. I'll do better next time.

I would interlock her locs.. as a loctician... it would cut out the product use and help it maintain its uniformity..

I learned from youtube and Instagram. I do mine and my daughter's hair. Use some foam before the dryer. And Ma'am, you did beautifully❤

I used alligator clips and that way you can put more of a section in them versus the individual clips. Maybe 8 gator clips vs. 100 small clips.❤

This is probably an unpopular opinion; but I don't think "Frizzy" is really an appropriate word for black peoples hair like it's only in relation to straight or straightened hair. I want to say that your products are really making a difference in my hair, my curls are more defined and I do see some Growth in my hair. I love the spray as well but I have to use it maybe once or twice a week because it does go fast because my hair loves it! I will buy more in the future because two bottles is not enough LOL. I hope you run some sales so I can buy them again even though they are reasonably priced, you can never go wrong with saving money! Also thank you for your excellent customer service! I should buy four bottles of the spray next time. Me and my mom love the smell of my hair.

Girl, don’t sell yourself short. You can do her hair yourself; cause you did the darn thing. For the most part, and unless you just like spending money for services; you don’t need to waste money going to a loctician; except for special occasions. Just keep doing research regarding locs and what works for you. Personally, I wouldn’t use oil which allows debris to get stuck and dry out the hair and scalp. Just use a little grease and keep clean. 👍🏾
