I have this exact model from g4m since around 8 months. Overall if you're unsure whether an 8 string is for you and want to kinda start and mess around with it, this guitar might be good for that, maybe not so much for a professional musician. It has some problems with lower strings staying in tune on specific frets, I'd say thats the only main issue i have with it, other flaws are rather minor, the brigde elements in mine were pretty loose though which initially made setting the action of the strings a bit difficult. Sound wise it's decent, it sounds best on bridge pickup, the upper one makes the sound a bit too muddy for me if you're playing complex chords. Bonus points for aesthetics, because it really is a pretty guitar

ive got that guitar for more than a year, not stainless steel frets, they are nickel. The pickups are pretty good for the price, they are bassy and very spikey, a mid boost can help you out. You must copper shield it to perform well to high gain, and also setup the frets because most of them are unleveled. The angulation of the pickups makes the 8th string and the 1st weaker on output so take that on consideration. Angulated open pickups like Elysian is recommended. Overall, its a verygood guitar for the price, but you will invest on heavy setup to make it work for studio recording. So, its up to you

I've owned and played 7 string and 8 string guitars, but they just feel like they're only good for one thing - chugging on the low strings. Long story short, Instead of owning them now, I just detune a 6 string to play in that range instead.

So you’re telling there’s a chance i’ll join Meshuggah if i buy an 8-string? 🇸🇪🔜

So did I. A Jackson...I returned it swiftly as it would never stay in tune. Look at the upgrades required starting with machine heads....It's far better to buy a higher budget guitar in this case.

Kinda crazy they can turn a profit on such things. 8 strings must be more popular than i thought

Hi! Someone who actually has this guitar. (You can see it in my pfp). I'm personally not a fan of the pickups as they almost just feel dull. aside from the pickups, great guitar tbh. I'm still in debate about changing the pickups so I actually took it's low string and put it on my SubZero (Now G4M just like the guitar in this video) 7 string.
