never knew it was a youtubers brand. I just bought it because of the quality and I keep coming back to it

I'd never heard of this brand before. My hair type is 2a+ to 2b, with some 2c action in sections. My scalp is very similar to yours, actually. But sooo dry! I've had some good luck with some lesser-known black-owned hair care products, but I need a good dandruff shampoo too (the Head & Shoulders Royal Oils shampoo is a winner!). I'd definitely be willing to try some of this line at such a great price point, especially if that rice water rinse is as good as the L'oreal Wonder Water but cheaper!

I've enjoyed some Hairitage products, especially the co-wash, curl cream, and leave-in pudding. These work well on my 3A hair.

Your hair is gorgeous! Thanks for reviewing this brand - I had never heard of it. Suggestion: when you show off your hair, if you could stand under a bright light we'd be able to see it better - is so dark, it's hard to see it really well 😊

I absolutely wnjot this brand. I use the scalp product by removing the cover and applying to the black scalp massage brush I purchased from Ulta...works great to massage into the scalp. Absolutely luv how light weight it feels and how well it works. Great tutorial and always enjoy your videos. Thank you Amanda! ❤️

That's probably what I'll end up doing, I also have one of those scalp massager brushes! I do LOVE what it did with my hair though!

I've seen this brand in store, but never given it a try. I didn't realize they had so many products! It also makes me curious to do some research to learn what number+letter my hair is!

It can definitely be helpful in finding the right hair products for your hair type!

I do appreciate the accessibility & affordability of the brand, but the smell of the products is too strong & makes me sick to my stomach. I have been having good luck with Mielle & Curls brands.

I'm so surprised because I just can't smell what everyone else is smelling! Have you tried their fragrance free products that I talk about at the end though?
@bertkesurf2 жыл бұрын
@@slashedbeauty Didn't care for the smell of those either. I don't know if I'm just hypersensitive or what, but I haven't been able to get over the smell of any of the products.

Same here and I think that’s what’s causing allergic reactions for some people. It’s definitely not a natural ingredient 😞
@slashedbeauty2 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not a lot of natural fragrances are also allergens for many people such as essential oils!

I have super curly hair, all curly haired girls have to style their hair wet. The sos conditioner had a weird smell, the outta my hair shampoo smelled good.
@mamashiraz2 жыл бұрын
I tried the color check shampoo and conditioner and ended up needing steroids for the severe rash it caused. Judging by others’ reviews (which I should have checked before buying🤦🏻♀️), I’m not alone. The products are definitely not hypoallergenic. There’s way better clean beauty lines than this one.
@slashedbeauty2 жыл бұрын
It's always a good idea to check the ingredient list for allergens before purchasing! Luckily I haven't had that issue with this product but I've definitely had some weird reactions to different shampoos before.
@mamashiraz2 жыл бұрын
@@slashedbeauty I liked the ingredient list but they’re not required to identify the “fragrance” ingredients so who knows what’s really in it.🤷🏻♀️
@slashedbeauty2 жыл бұрын
Yep- same for makeup. It’s annoying because that could come with a whole separate ingredients list.

The rule is to never brush your hair dry, you should always brush it wet and conditioned!
@slashedbeauty2 жыл бұрын
Wow!! Myth busted!
@ambergerhelper78522 жыл бұрын
I disagree. Wet hair is more fragile than dry hair. You should only brush your hair wet if you can’t brush it dry- if it’s coily or very curly.

I really wish companies wouldn’t vilify parabens. I’m allergic to the (cheaper) preservatives they’re using instead. 🥺
@slashedbeauty2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing!! I think a LOT of things are vilified that don't need to be. People tout products "without chemicals" but ... a lot of natural ingredients can be irritating too, so I get that!
@spark_67102 жыл бұрын
That's a bummer ! Totally understand. I am not allergic to paraben ,but I don't want it in anything I put on my body !! Or inside ! For the health concerns ! But,I know what you mean !! So many ( even " natural" products ,especially for hair colour dyes ) products replaced paraben & harsh preservatives ,but they do contain bad stuffs still !! Bad for us & the environment !! Switching to something different to avoid one issue ,but creating other ,or more issues doesn't make sense to me ,either !! It's all to do with profits after all !! After all it's a business !! And it's a new marketing !! Sad !! I am hoping they'll do much better in the near future & can find better answers for us ,the consumers & the companies ,I still believe it's possible !! They just go for cost saving & new sales lines that'll bring more $$$$ to 'em !! I sympathize !! Sorry to read this ! 💜🥁🐉🎤💞

@@spark_6710 Parabens are one of the safest ingredients on the market.
@spark_67102 жыл бұрын
Yea,that's a debate ! I heard both sides & read articles regarding parabens from both sides . Things like that always change & sway !! I really think it's up to how we review !! And consider what's tge best for us ,or not. To me tocopherol, vitamin c ( ascorbic acid )& potassium sorbate ( food grade preservatives) ,sodium ,so on are the ones I pick w/ o hesitations.Thank you so much for your reply .💜🥁🐉🎤💞

@@spark_6710 I’m a nurse. It’s NOT a debate. Parabens are in food, drinks, and medications. No scientific studies in humans prove they’re harmful.

Oh ,yea ! You knew !! Yes, it's really bad for brushing/ combing hair when it's wet !! It removes cuticles !! Many don't know this ,even beauticians/ hairstylists !! Even though they learned it at their beauty schools ,they forget ,or ignore this !! Just like they don't keep up with the regulations ! They are not supposed to use the same brush they dropped on the floor ! But they do !! Some even don't use the right disinfectant solutions at salons !! They cheat it !! I love affordable hair products & skin care products !! My fave for hair at affordable prices are John Frieda's !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
