I have Komplete Ultimate 11 and Cubase Pro 11 and some freebie and cover magazine vsts. Rather than constantly buying "the next thing" surely there are ways to achieve results with similar products. For example Slate Digital Repeater or Soundtoys Echoboy looked like something to buy, however I already have ReplikaXT and Guitar Rig 5 with Tape Echo and other delays, so it's about learning to use what I have. Would you please show comparisons, where possible, as it becomes a real money pit.

WHY DO THESE COMPANIES NOT GIVE CUSTOMERS THE OPTION TO BUY THE PLUGIN INSTEAD OF FORCING TO RENT! SMH

I think most of them are moving to subscription models
@lukasgarden80973 жыл бұрын
@@SanjayC Except for the PA concept sub models are anti-consumer would recommend you the White Sea Studio Video to subscribe to a plugin is not worth for the customer it's just better for the company and their economic safety etc but it makes me sad to see how the industry is leaning towards this concept because if you think of it logically no one will sub to 12 brands to just use one of their plugins. It's the same with streaming the more fragmented and "unfriendly" these services get more piracy etc will occur. Developers (I'm a dev too) have the right to sell their products how they want but they should also consider there is something beside revenue. Izotope lost me as they moved to their subscriptionservice and their support said indirectly that I should f*ck off as a paying customer for years. That makes me sad :( Interested to hear your opinion on this topic but I know that you have to be carefull because you are depending on the good will of those companies.

Xfer is the best example. Their rent-to-own option is great if you can't afford it in one go, but they also offer to just buy the plugin outright. But just a subscription model and not owning the plugin you pay for? I feel like this will stimulate pirating more than anything else...

@@SanjayC Its a great video for upcoming artists to learn from. I was suggesting something similar. In this video you browse through all the plugins used in the project. I was thinking would it be a good idea to focus on one or two plug-ins at a time, for example a song in which you might have used a vocoder plugin or a transient designer and the best way to use it. It might not cover all the aspects of this particular plugin, but the way you used could be inspiring.

What Gives people???? Does nobody appreciate real vocalists who can really sing anymore? Using AutoTune to maybe good to fix a few off pitch Notes is one thing, but making vocals sound like Robots sing the entire song instead of having real vocals to sing a song is Ridiculous!!!! Too many people trying to use AutoTune to disguise the fact that they really can't sing. Get a real singer if you can't sing.. LOL...

I like your channel Sanjay but I have to lay something down.... In time, subscription based models will only hurt the pockets of developers of plugins and the like. They have the potential to make so much more business if they offered the consumer the choice of either purchasing a plugin outright or subscribe to eventually own the entire collection if that's what an individual prefers. There is a large portion of the music producing community who will never subscribe to these business models. Including myself. No matter how great a product might be or how it's marketed. There are many other developers in this market that offer a potential customer 'choice'. The kind of business model that will always attract is 'choice'. Not all developers will go down the road of 'subscription only' like some seem to think. That's due to the fact that those developers that offer choice will always gain customers who stay away from subscription only models. As much as I love antares products I will not subscribe to have access to 'one' plugin when I won't even use most of the others within the subscription. This kind of business model makes no sense.
