1:50 make a plane. Use control R to cut it into a lot of tiny squares. Use "Unsubdivide" set to 1. Then delete faces only. Simpler than the poke method.

What addon is that for example in 1:11 for the looks of the the objects when you model, while in solid, when at the start you are modeling the 1.st structure you are in solid viewmode but your cube has kinda lighter edges and than mine does. I have seen at at couple of creators already, is it like a extension or something?

It’s built into Blender. Click the down arrow in the top right of the viewport and enable “Cavity”. It only works in solid mode.
