I quite like the laneige lip sleeping mask, I find that it hydrates my lips in a few minutes when they feel super dry! It's definitely not the best lip treatment for all day hydration but when I noticed that my lips are dry or cracked it adds moisture to them really fast!

try the toboco lip mask! it's a korean brand and pretty much a dupe but better in my opinion!! Comes in glass and is cheaper. I love it. It's definitely for nighttime use though!

yess i use the the pink bubbly one and its so damn good. i tend to peel at my lips so theyre always bloody and crusty.. and the lip therapy literally heals it overnight.

If you are experience a sensation in your throat when you use the Laneige , you are allergic. Try to narrow down what ingredient is causing the allergic reaction because using it, over time you could have an anaphylactic reaction

It has DHT in it, everyone is "allergic" to DHT its a toxic product esp to be putting on your lips

There's something called vocal cord dysfunction where certain triggers make your throat feel like it's closing up but it's not actually an allergic reaction. So if antihistamines don't work then ask your doctor about that. /thought I was allergic to sunscreen for years

It could be anything from alll the filler ingredients TO THE BHT THEY USE which can be toxic and should not be consumed TO THE FRAGRANCE laniege has some of the longest ingredient lists i've ever seen

Tried both the Laneige and it's dupe Petitfee. Both gave me the most intense alergic reaction, with rash going all the way to my throat. I'm blaming the fragrance, but it could be anything really.

@@rhileynnna ehhhh I have tried multiple flavours of the Vaseline tin and the rose one did give a nice color to my lips, but the scent and taste was too strong. I am currently using the aloe vaseline and I love it cuz I like aloe. But I suggest you just go for the plain neutral one. It's great!! Also petroleum jelly locks in already existing moisture. So first apply a thin layer of a hyaluronic acid serum or cream, and then vaseline, and it's gonna make your lips SO plump and juicy!! Literally gives the botox effect.

You HAVE to try the Lansinoh Lanolin lip balm. The one in the purple packaging. It is 100% lanolin and SAVED my lips during my Accutane course. It’s way cheaper than Lanolips.

Everybody says skincare works differently for different people but I think it is most true with lip balms. I absolutely love Bert’s bees original balm, and hate nearly everything else (the body shop, innersense, chapstick, the list goes on). Great video!

Iliked their hemp stick lip balm with the exfoliating centre. I was gutted when it got discontinued. They also had a honey one in a pot that was great for day wear, then they changed the formula, before yet 1gain discontinuing it!

For years, I listened to you about the Laneige lip mask. Big mistake. I received it in a boxy charm box, and I'm glad I did. My lips are the definition of ashy-af... I have an OCD habit that I pick my lips to the point of bleeding, scabbing, and scaring. Add to that my bedroom is overly dry but I can't use a humidifier because I need my purifier running.... my lips be FRIED! So... I used it because I ran out of my Patrick Ta mask and I have never went back. The Laneige lip mask rescues my lips over night and leaves them so much better for the day. I now use it all day. Also, I have an issue where I detest the feeling of anything on my lips... the Laneige mask feeling like nothing. It doesn't stress me out.

Paula’s Choice Lip & Body Treatment Balm truly saved my lips!!! I have allergies and breathe through my mouth. Now living in the Midwest, my lips paid for it. Fun fact I get better hydration and softer lips from a lip gloss then a balm! The lip gloss is from a small business called Kikiz cosmetics, they have many scents/flavors and when I use the gloss it has fast hydration and even after the gloss comes off my lips still feel so soft and hydrated!!

Wow! You covered so many! Thank you for this video! I have been using the Cerave Healing Ointment on my lips pretty much every night, and I agree that it is pretty good. My favorite is one that you didn't feature. It's the Paula's Choice peptide lip balm. I usually just use it at night, and I always wake up with my lips nicely moisturized and plump. It seems to somehow bring out the natural shape of my lips too. It is a bit on the pricier side, but it lasts a long time. It might be one to try. In any case, thank you again for trying all these products and telling us about them!

The Etude Ginger Lip Mask is life changing. Wow. Thank you for sharing it with us bc it’s the most moisturizing thing I’ve ever experienced. I have found that while it is sticky, a little goes a long way so you don’t have to feel super sticky. I use it at night :)

I've been using just plain old Vaseline during the day. At night, I'll put a heavy ointment on my lips. The Etude House Cica Balm has been really nice. Leaves my lips feeling really soft in the morning. I think a lot of brands are a lot of hype with not much delivery.

As a Sephora employee…. My recommendations would be Biossance vegan lip balm and Ole Henriksen peptide lip treatment. These are such great overnight products. I do also have enjoy Glossier (currently on mango scented) it’s very buttery feeling.

Review suggestions for lips: Jack Black Bag Balm LRP Cica Balm Triple Paste (this is what I use at night for slugging/healing cracked lips) Uriage/Bioderma Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha DHC Blistex Simple & Sensitive I’m like you - major chronic chapped lips. It’s annoying. Would also love to see a deep dive into SPF, since our lips are the most vulnerable and probably least protected. So far my favorite is Dermatone, topped with Brush On Block lip oil. Love this ranking format!

I am 70 yrs old and everything is dry! The best thing I have found for my dry flakey lips is Weleda Skinfood original. I put a thick layer on my lips at bedtime as a mask and it repairs my dry flakey cracked lips overnight. I put a little on during the day after meals and my lips have never felt or looked better. I also use it as a face night cream and use it as a handcream (excellent for cracked cuticles). Awesome stuff! and I love the scent. Works for me!

The BEST lip balm I LOVED & rode so hard for was from Bite, the Bite Agave Lip Mask. The OG formula was AMAZING, then they screwed it up, reformulated it, it just wasn’t the same, then they closed. I think if they didn’t mess with the formula they would have survived. I turned so many people onto that. It was just SO good! Now people are selling it on sites like Poshmark for $150+. Thank Goodness when they discontinued the OG formula & it was 50% & 75% off on Sephora, I loaded up. I still have 2-3 tubes unopened.

I haven’t tried the Tatcha Lip Mask. I don’t like the concept of a jar and having to stick my finger in it or find the wand, keeping the wand clean. I did add it to my Sephora cart to try out. I’m always on the lookout for a good lip balm. Thanks for the reviews Hyram.

One of my favorites is the Vaseline lip therapy that comes in a little tub and just regular aquaphor, not the lip therapy. Glossier is the best for flavors but don’t be like me and accidentally leave it in the sun 😅 I also have loved original chapstick with the black packaging since I was a kid but it doesn’t stay long at all lol

Omg YESS the one specifically from the tub has worked wonders and it's probably the only lip balm that I have COMPLETELY and I mean completely cleared out😆 like my friends were asking why I was even bringing it around when there was barely anything left. I also use aquaphor on top of my moisturizer and it's SO good

You can try Torriden Solid In Lip Essence! It's formulated with ceramides and panthenol, comes in a convenient squeeze tube, is super affordable and incredibly moisturising. Lasts all night for me, and it was the only lip product that helped heal my lip contact dermatitis.

I’ve tried so many lip balms (drug store price point because I’m broke) and my favorite is the EOS lip hero- the blue tube! I reapply it often but I don’t think it’s the formula, because it’s an anxious habit and I like the feeling of a balm on my lips when I rub them together. It’s the only formula that’s easy to get and cheap and doesn’t gross me out and give me a sensory ick

Hyram, you need to try the Hanalei lip balm from the Hanalei company - being that you are a resident of Hawaii I'm surprised you haven't tried it yet! It is petrolatum based, however it contains Kukui oil. I put this on at night, lasts all night and into the next morning even after I wash my face and brush my teeth!

I have extremely chronically dry lips (atopic dermatitis above my top lip too). The best product I found isn't a 'lip balm' - it's a French pharmacy cream (more like balm/ointment) called Homeoplasmine. I highly, highly recommend. It's similar to vaseline, but way softer and richer in nutrients. Hope this helps someone :)

Based on your preferences and dislikes being so similar to mine. I feel like you need to try the Malin + Goetz lip conditioner. I’ve been using it for over a decade now. I’ve tried branching out and trying things like the laneige lip sleeping mask and summer Fridays lip butter balm but was so disgusted/offended by the lack of function. And since it is a more gloss like formula with all night wear time, I feel like you will not be scared by its adhesion. I wouldn’t call it a super sticky gloss but it’s also NOT BUDGING. I put it on like skincare every night after a shower then It keeps my lips chap free all the next day. If I do somehow forget to apply it consecutively or wear some very drying lipstick it will also act as a good calming salve and help to sloth off the dead skin easier the next morning. I even used it in Harbin in -4F weather and it worked like a champion. Don’t sleep on it.

As someone who feels like they have dry lips, I have to go on and give my personal combo recommendation for everyone: O’Keefe’s Lip Repair lip balm (I use the one with Cherry and vitamin E oil) paired with NYX’s butter gloss. Not sticky, I feel like there’s minimal reapplication, and my lips feel great.

You need to try Eucerin lip repair (the liquid one not the stick). I used to lick my lips so hard I had dry patches even beyond my lips and this product healed it almost overnight !

My favourite lip balm is the Reve de Miel ( Honey Dream) by Nuxe, the one in a pot. I put it on my lips every night, all year round. I use a lip scrub from time to time, sometimes I use the lip oil too, and in the winter, I put a layer on my lips before going outside. No more flaky, dry, sore lips! I have read/heard that lip balms in stick format have something in them to keep it in stick form that hydrates for a little while but then dries your lips out more so you have to reapply it more frequently.

It’s crazy but in high school my lips started to get so oddly dry, with small areas of roughness. Literally NOTHING helped. I looked up some balms and ointments, and got the Dior Lip Scrub. It saved my lips. I will forever stand behind it

if talking about price range (bang for ur buck) I would recommend Japanese brands: - lip : DHC unscented ( the yellow one), however, I live in Canada super dry, and the extra moist version (purple) is way better. It has a lanolin smell but when u get used to it... it's good. Unlike Laneige will hurt your lip when taking off your dead skin cells this is NOT and way cheaper in my opinion compared to Laneige.
