As a matter of fact, you can do cake batter with mayonnaise and maybe pickle juice the base for mayonnaise (eggs, vinegar/lemon, oil and salt) are very much ingredients perfectly useful for a cake, while the mayonnaise stabilizer can help with cake structure or moist retention, and pickle juice can be useful for the saltines of the brine (though this one is debatable) If you wanna go for gross or mismatch flavors, go for chilli flakes, toothpaste, baby powder and uncooked rice

@InJeffable Жыл бұрын
@@naiiin6949 I agree. For me, a big problem was that after the opening events were over and the story shifted its focus to Scott/Sara Ryder, everything became way too casual. It was as if none of the characters really cared about anything that was going on. (So why should the player care?) And the story didn't really work. It was just the Reapers (forcing people to "ascend" to a different form) with a less compelling motivation. That said, I do think Andromeda excelled in two areas: fluid, fast-paced combat and beautiful environments. It had what is to this day the most fun and fair boss fight I've ever experienced, and some of those environments were screenshot-worthy.

About the exploration, It's just like Ubisoft exploration, I don't know how this happens but devs misunderstand completely what is the fun in exploring... When you explore Elden Ring world, you actually find unique places and unique gear, and you stumble on those things because you decided to go for some interesting place you saw while walking around. In those Ubisoft like games, you just find the same weapons with slightly better specs on random chests or inside those samey enemy outposts.
@billywashere6965 Жыл бұрын
This. Ghost Recon Wildlands has one of the best designed open-world maps in any game bar none. That's not even an exaggeration. THe intricate details in each of the biomes and some of the POIs are breathtaking. However, the game is horrible for doing absolutely nothing with its massive open world. It's just a large sandbox where you do the same thing over and over with almost zero discovery. Sure you can unlock new weapon parts at various enemy bases, but like you mentioned, Elden Ring had unique locations that rewarded you for exploration and discovery. Ubisoft-style games just give you a massive map and have you repeat the same loops over and over again ad infinitum across a cool looking but ultimately vapid landscape.

It's not the rewards themselves that are bad, a feather in another game could be a true prize. No the issue here is how the game treats this system and how badly it communicates the importance of something to the player. For example, in Tears of the Kingdom, you literally collect magical bubblegums to turn some mf into a bunny, and yet somehow I found that to be more interesting than going through an hour of Forspoken. Mostly this comes down to 3 things, the game builds an important expectation for the player: "you will get rewarded for exploration no matter what", which totk is very keen on doing and letting you know they're doing it, so you feel very motivated to do some laughably meaningless things. Second, totk knows how to hook the player in any questline and that comes in different forms, like the bubblegums, you only really collect them because the idea of a person turning into a bunny is so mystically ridiculous that you just HAVE to find out if the game will actually do it. And last, it's not a chore, babbul gems and any other collectible in the game are often set behind or around fun activities and are often there to lead you to even more fun, both systems rely on each other for the sake of the player, and holy hell they actually made me collect 'em all lol. (Also there's usually armor or some other benefit in it for you)

19:00 The dissolution of the studio was probably a foregone conclusion. There's a reason they shuttered almost immediately after release. With so much sunk cost and apparently a development cycle riddled with issues they just weren't keeping around as a subdivision. I desperately wanted to love this game. The story seems cool, the characters COULD be fun, but it really feels like when you’re reading through a story arc in comics and you can tell that they hired writers who either don’t understand or genuinely don’t like the characters. Athia is cool. Frey is cool. The Cuff is cool. The people who wrote them are not.

The problem with modern gaming is that people can't form their own opinions they'll just parrot whatever their favourite streamer/content creator says. Most of the people that hate this game didn't play it and when you watch someone who's shitting on a game or overly praising it, that will automatically make your brain think that its bad or good because you're being told so by someone that you want every word from to be gospel. This game failed because it feels like it was written by edgy twelve year olds but Honkai Star Rail was massively successful and also feels like it was written by edgy 12 year year olds right down to the your mom jokes. What's the difference between those two games? What streamers told people to think of them.
@josemiguelsilva899510 ай бұрын
Honkai is stupid in writing but has some charm and is definitely not as cringy as this, same with Genshin, the anime talk is cringy we all know that, but at the same time, we already used to it and know what to expect from it just by looking at the games, when u see honkais or Genshin design you know the dialog is going to be very animey, this feels like real live cringe, and that makes it really hard to consume for some people

When hajime tabata left luminous productions after talking for years about how they were going to make a game with the ffxv engine, I knew that without him, any possibility of it being decent disappeared. no amount of patching and hotfixes can fix a hollow & boring game, Pyrocynical I believe had asked on his stream who this game was for and what was the actual vision they had when developing it and I just don't think they had resulting in a game for people who don't go looking at a games content beyond surface level, exploring the game world in Origins and Odyssey is massively satisfying/interesting, "exploring" the game world in forspoken looks like you're just ticking off boxes to reach the end game. I'd like to say in a few years once this games price is reduced I'll check it out but the gaming industry no longer does that & at a full AAA price tag I just don't see how you get enough value out of this title for it to actually be worth it.
@amberbaum4079 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, his video of Forspoken gives you a good glance at all the aspects of the game, because it allows you the experience it alongside him. The combat looked so boring and easy so idk what Luke is on about. Maybe he likes this action type of combat?
@unfortunately_fortunate2000 Жыл бұрын
@@amberbaum4079 I don't know if it's the combat that is shallow or if it's how the combat encounters are designed that makes it feel bad, I just cannot understand what the actual vision of this game was or what the team behind it envisioned it to be but whatever this is, most certainly sucks & the dialogue does not help. iirc Pyro liked the combat at first but after a few hours you could clearly see he was just trying to reach the end & bored af in the process, what a disappointing game.

Firstly, there’s nothing wrong with Dates in a cake. 👌 Forsaken looks like it’d be worth playing once it’s cheap enough. I rarely listen to the moaners as that just is what they do, same with the super praisers. I listen more to the guys in the middle, the ones that find the good and bad, the balanced reviewers. So, I’ll wait. Love the improvised music in this video 😂👍

Surprisingly same with Mayo. Apparently it makes cakes more moist.
@coopercummings8370 Жыл бұрын
@@usonohoshi6165 mayo is just eggs and cooking oil, sometimes with a bit of something else for flavor. The two primary ingredients are things you would use in a cake, so it works in a cake as long as you don't screw up the ratios too badly, but you could just use more eggs and oil instead. Mayo works for grilled cheese for the same reason.

I know no one will read this, but in regards to Luke saying that we’ll feel bad if we complain about a game and the people get fired… They don’t have to get fired, they could reevaluate what went wrong, improve training, etc. Someone being fired isn’t necessarily the only path after a poor performance

I have a rule that I loosely stick to, where the amount of money I spend on a game, that will be the amount of hours I hope to play it. Games like BOTW/TOTK exceed that rule by a large margin, but I seriously do not believe Forspoken would ever get its money’s worth, even at 50% off.

Lots of extra stuff to do which was ok too. i really enjoyed.

I feel giving players the OPTION to turn off the interactions is already a red flag. We have other games with the same function like NieR- which is also published by SE. And they were able to make those interactions both natural and entertaining. Hell, the characters Kaine and Weiss have the exact same relationship as Frey and Cuff. And people LOVE hearing their banter. Game play wise it is fun. Exploration does seem like it could be better, just look at both Witcher 3 and NieR (with Automata apparently been inspired by Witcher 3 with how they tackled exploration) And Story wise, it might just be me. But it's a simpler, kind of child friendly, version of Drakengard 3. Change 4 Tanta to 5 Intoners and their disciples. A cursing, selfish main character. Switch a Talking Cuff on the right wrist to a silent flower on the right eye. Add adult humor. violence and gore.(but somehow still be beautifully depressing) Also multiple endings. With the "true" ending being one of the most BULLSHIT boss fights you will ever face.
