A tip for anyone watching is to use way less of the hair paint wax then she did and spread it on your hair. The color transfers so easily and not a lot of product is needed. Using less will make the container last longer and will cause there to be way less flaking.

Just a suggestion, since you're dying your already dark hair black, maybe just use jet black hair dye instead of box dye. Box dye can be damaging because of its ammonia, using regular ammonia free hair dye (I use kiss tintation) won't be damaging.

When I did mines I put moisturizer and water in my hair before the wax and while using the wax it didn't dry out my hair it was actually nice after the first wash the color was looking more natural . PS: it took weeks before the color came out

another good thing to use for coloring hair that I use is called Gemini natural get huge it's a vegan temporary color gel and it feels really nice and it makes your curls look very beautiful while you're doing it it isn't very waxy and it doesn't like shed a lot

i did it when my hair was blow dryed and it was the worst mistake.. i feel like it works best when your hair is wet because the substance is water based so if your hair is dry then the product will dry your hair more. also it will transfer more. so next time i try it i’ll do it when my hair is wet and then blow dry it along with my hair. hopefully it’ll turn out better 💗
