Hynafol was my very first LARP, and it's pretty much the one all others will be measured against. We met briefly on the bus from the airport and it was great to see your video finally posted. Your video about Bicolline was one of my inspirations to actually get out of my own comfort zone and attend Hynafol. Thank you for the inspiration. Looking forward to going again next year!

Jess, I just heard about Hynafol on Thanksgiving and let me tell you, I cannot wait to go in 2025. I am 58 and never LARPed . I have not only bought my ticket but have two others that have never LARPed either. It looks fantastic. Hope to see you there next year.

I think Bicollene is this huge battle and it has its place but it feels like the guilds have their little thing and that's about it, plus its mostly French. I have been watching Hynafol for awhile and I read all the lore. It was so much easier to understand than Bicollene plus it feels more fantasy at Hynafol and I really like that. They even go to Bicollene as a group to continue some of their battles. Bicollene feels more Game of Thronish and Hynafol feels more Witcher like, which I love. I think I am going to try Hynafol first and then work towards visiting Bicollene. Hynafol is closer, it's all in English, easier to develop a new character, and I don't have to leave the country, plus its easier to bring a trailer full of stuff (If I am going to RP I am going all out - currently designing my decorum tent but also with modern techniques to keep the moisture out, like double canvas layering and venting). Thank you for showing this. The websites do not do these events justice.

I do love LARP, but i don't have any gear yet, which is actually quite expensive and the community here in The Netherlands is relatively small and the meetings are usually just too far away.
