I am a daily traveler from Seremban to KL since my uni days from 2015 until now. Although there are times the jam can be more than 2 hours and I would be late for work, having flexible working hours is really the key point in making this happened. Imagine, driving halfway and forget to bring a document or laptop, you can just call an EL as its not worth the drive. Despite that, as a Seremban boy. Having a more laid back city such as Seremban do make a different compared to the stress living in KL. That 1 hour drive to make it more productive, you may turn on some podcast and also a good quiet time for you to think about the day or solutions to the problems you have which I feel what I enjoyed the most during that drive. There are times, I am too tired to drive back or feel sleepy to drive. I will stop by the RNR to have a quite drink or bite or maybe a short nap in the car. Just hope that you are not having a bad stomach ache when you are stuck in the jam. Its truly a very "enduring" experience. I here pray hope the daily travelers like me have a very safe drive back and forth and proud to be one of them! Cheers!

i dont get the whole thing about coming back home after work to a more chill place. most of the time you get home after sunset and by the time you eat dinner you are left about an hour or so before you have to sleep (which most people will dedicate to resting at home) and wake up early the next day only to leave to KL first thing. realistically you only are able to live/enjoy the area during the weekends.

That is because you are not use to coming home early. For me, my work place is 5-10 min away. I finish work at 4pm and by 4.15pm, I am already at tennis court playing tennis. Then I will come home, enjoy dinner, go out for shopping, do some work, watch netflix until 12 or 12.30 am before going to sleep. Then I can wake up at 8am and go to my office. I was born-raised-work in Klang Valley. Since I was 20 years old I lived in an apartment after moving out of my parents' house to be independent. Honestly, I can't afford a landed house in Klang Valley. But I'm sick and tired of living in apartments. After getting married I bought a landed house and settled down in Seremban. I work in PJ and I'm lucky that my working hours are flexible: 2 days work at home; 3 days at the office. But I'm not stupid to commute by car. I take the KTM Komuter: Save money and energy; I can take a nap and relax. And again I'm so lucky that my home and office is only a 10 minute walk to the KTM station. Why Seremban: 1. Less traffic, less busy. 2. "Balik Kampung" in the opposite direction. 3. Lower crime rate, lower population. 4. Slightly lower cost of living. 5. There are some of the best schools in Malaysia. 6. Centered between KL-Melaka-PD-KLIA. 7. Close to my in-laws where they can take care of my children (I don't really trust babysitters). If you like tourists and nightlife, this is not the place. Seremban is a quiet home family town for me.

If youve been a native serembanian youd realise theres nothing much of a progress in terms of public transportation or job opportunities as most of the big company offices are located in the klang valley regions. @kurtx88272 жыл бұрын
@@naznazrin8588 I agree with you. Klang Valley is like a gold mine - "the California of Malaysia". Most of the high salaries and uncommon jobs are based in Klang Valley and that leads young Serembanians to work in KV. Not only people from Negeri Sembilan but the whole Southeast Asia.
@SukhbirCheema2 жыл бұрын
Seremban local here. If you are seriously considering purchasing a property at Sendayan, be ready to fork out approx RM700++ for petrol and toll monthly. The prices of homes here are similar to Klang Valley. The only difference is that you're paying the same price for landed properties in Seremban. However, if you're under budget, there are plenty of good sub-sale properties closer to the town. It'll save you more money because instead of driving, you can always opt to travel via KTM which is cheaper and safer.
@killmyindianbrother2 жыл бұрын
That’s right, I don’t understand how people would think Seremban property prices are cheaper. S2/BSS fetch the same price as Klang Valley and in turn only offers land size, most of the time not even full furnished. The same budget used for S2/BSS property could even get sub sale landed property in places like Jalan Ipoh, USJ, Shah Alam etc. Not forgetting that Seremban traffic can be just as bad during peak hours

From what I see you only did 1 - 2 days travel from Seremban to KL and you are doing it like a tourist that doesn't reflect the real hassle of travelling. This is more like a sponsored video to promote Bandar Sri Sendayan and not much of an education or tips video. I was born and raised in Seremban and work in KL for more than a decade and also did 8 years of daily travel by car / bus / KTM - MRT - LRT - ERL from Seremban to Cyberjaya / PJ / KL for various jobs. After those years of travelling I decided to move to KL as it is physically and mentally exhausting and it starts to affect my work performance. Weekends are not enjoyable as it is too tiring to do anything because of that 5 days travelling and it get worst when you start to age and not to mention when you have a family. So it depends on what you really want, yes I can save more money if I were to stay in Seremban and travel daily but my poor performance at work will eat up my pay raise and promotion as it affects my work performance. I prefer to go all out to earn more money than saving some money. As a matter of fact my salary has increased 50% after I move to KL. It depends if you want to conservatively saving more money or actively earn more money.

You will realized that when you reach home, the time you need to rest is limited then you have to wake up early to travel or else you're gonna stuck at Sg Besi. Ever since I got my new house in Taman Desa, my starting work time is 9 and I can just wake up at 8:30 slow slow prepare even then able to reach Mont Kiara just before 9. I grew up in Seremban and fast forward, I am now one of who travel daily to KL area to work. If driving I will go out 5.30 am to avoid the traffic (less than 1 hour) and given the flexible working hours, I will go back around 4.30 pm also to avoid traffic (around 1 hour 15 minutes). My 2nd alternative is special charter express bus that departs as early as 6.15 am (max 3 buses only), so can save money a lot compare to drive, plus can sleep all the way until reach office area, and going back will be via the same bus. My 3rd alternative is normal express bus (many buses available) however when reach KL, will have to change to LRT to reach office, and going back need to take LRT to take bus in Pudu Sentral. 4th alternative will be via KTM Komuter then change to LRT at KL Sentral, and going back is vice versa. Therefore, except for driving, there are several options and combinations if daily commute via public transportation. Cheers to all fellow Serembanians and safe travel:)

Although it's tiring to travel up and down on daily basis, the comfort of living in a landed house is rewarding for people who has family with children. The day care here is not as expensive as in KL. And the traffic jam on weekend not as bad as KL. But, warning for people who think can make quick buck from investing short term. BSS house prices stagnent for almost 10 years. So buy if you gonna stay, or if wanna invest, need to hold long term the units. And alot of unit is available for rent half the price. I still don't get why people do this. Especially the one that works in KL and bought a house outside KL just because they wanted a landed house that they can afford. Seremban lah, Semenyih lah, Kajang lah, Rawang lah. Ewwww.. If they can afford landed house outside KL, means they can afford a smaller house in KL, which is clearly a better choice. Renting is also an exceptionally viable choice, stop it with the FOMO and the need to "feel ownership" and shit. 4-6 hours spent EVERY SINGLE DAY just so you could sleep on a landed house. People also did not count the mental toll that will affect their stress level and mental health as they do this every day. Not to mention the traffic they're contributing by doing this. STAY CLOSE TO YOUR WORKPLACE PEOPLE!!

@@ahmadfrhn97 There's no guarantee you will stay working around KL either. You could be thrown to Perlis, Borneo, or even overseas. This is why rental is the viable choice. Plus, if I were to buy a condo in KL, and happened to move to work somewhere far, I'll just rent out my unit no problem, can even make some extra money along the way. But if its outside KL, good luck finding a tenant willing to pay what your installment costs. And good luck selling it off above market rate and bear all the costs and fees, you'll end up losing money. I have a friend that bought a "landed" house in Puncak Alam but works nowhere there. Had to rent it out at a lost every month. No way of selling either cus he needs to fork out MORE money for that. Now he's trapped. He had to lower the rate just to get a tenant since this kind of property is bersepah outside KL. This is basically daylight robbery, trapping people to such high-risk commitment that could affect their life till their death.

Been hearing about Bandar Sri Sendayan since 2014. Quite a number of Cyberjaya office workers travel from Cyber to Sendayan. No idea how they managed this with their grueling 12 hours shift. The current time it would take to travel would be between 45 minutes or 1 hour one way. Another reason why they bough the project was because MEX2 would supposedly cut the traveling hour by half. Sales folks kept pushing this point. We all know what happened to MEX2. As the pandemic took place, employers(some did and retained it) switched over to WFH. Those WFH would end up saving alot more than they bargained for. With the economic recession going overdrive next year, Sri Sendayan is going to be a tough sell.

I rather stay around kota kemuning like bandar rimbayu area than going all the way to sremban, you get a peaceful lifestyle while you can work in suabng,pj or kl, i used to stay in putrajaya and everyday travel to subang because im studying ther its very stressful, i just moved to bukit jalil i dont have to travel much and its peaceful and nearer to subang i dont need to deprived on sleep everyday to travel.

I being doing it for 6 years, all about planning the journey. ETA to sg besi 7.15am, left KL area before 5 - 5.30pm. I won't agree that it will be cost saving unless u take express bus/express KTM. Can't compare with Kuala Lumpur or even Selangor (Subang, PJ, Shah Alam, Cheras, Ampang.. ), try compare it with Semenyih, Klang, Sg Long and Rawang. Seremban should be a better choice.
@TheGobykoh2 жыл бұрын
Instead of staying in Seremban, there are other options as well in the southern part of Selangor. Bangi, Semenyih, Dengkil and many more. Especially for those who prefer to stay in Selangor, avoiding traffic jam around living area, works in southern Klang Valley (Puchong, Cheras, Subang or even Putrajaya, Sepang and etc). If we are working in KL Selangor area, planning for travelling is kinda unavoidable, no matter where you live.

Interesting video. When i was studying, Kl-Seremban highway was my daily route and the only stressful thing to me was the drive after Sg Besi toll 🤣🤣 tbh Seremban also getting crowded nowadays lol

Mad respect to those daily commuter. I personally dont think i can handle it. I used to commute daily to Bangsar from Puncak Alam and that itself is quite tiring.

i'm a Seremban 2 resident since 2013. Moving from KL to Seremban and commute to and fro wasn't that bad at all. In fact, there's 2 choices of highway, which is of course, PLUS and LEKAS highway. Or, if you wanna go on longer route, there's a route which pass thru Bandar Sri Sendayan where the hotel situated, then Felda LBJ, Bandar Enstek and Sepang Circuit which exit at Kota Warisan which leads to MEX highway.

it is only ok if your workplace is only a walking distance from the KTM station.

@@intjrovert9611 why walking? you can drive to ktm and park your car at the multistorey car park, that's more convenient right

@@Zichoe I think what he mean was it will only work if your company is within walking distance to your final ktm destination at your work place. No point taking ktm if once you reach the area you work, you will need to walk far or take bus to there

In my opinion, the jam is the reason why we need a proper planning public transport everywhere and ditch the car oriented lifestyle (and if possible, further limit the car ownership and even parking in the country). I know it is hard to change but this is the only way ahead for every city. Driving cars everyday for a few hours can be sometimes very tiring, which the time that is used itself can be saved for other things or even more productivity.
@matdanih2 жыл бұрын
Agreed... A single commuter line is not enough to cater more people to commute daily from Seremban to KL... I suggest that the KVITS must be expanded in a large scale, and these include an extensive LRT network that covers all of Seremban metro, upgrading the existing Seremban station into an integrated transport hub replacing Terminal 1, plus ERL extensions from KLIA into Seremban/Port Dickson.

Trying to co-sell bandar sendayan aar? Not a very good representation of Seremban - KL. 1 hour is the highway another hour is navigating inside the city center.

Actually the issue is KL itself not well-connected and designed as a CBD. Imagine if like NYC, everybody live in Long Island New Jersey, drive to a train station, then take train go into Manhattan, actually not bad. Like can rest on the train, do work on the train, don't need keep driving.

Exactly, i was about to say the same thing. "the drive is pretty enjoyable..." that's because you were doing it on a friday morning and offpeak times. What kind of bullshit test is this?
