I like it and its definitely not giving wedding dress but a casual rehearsal fancy dinner dress. Personally though I would have the lined the top with the same flower strip. Just preference but I think both would look beautiful therefore its fine yours turn out beautifully

@@jeon_artemis it giving more of a cutesy elegance rather then a finesse womanhood. Its my interpretation of it but again its all preferences, for wedding fress lace beads veils are associated with it, no so much as loose flowers butterflies or what have you, too much on the eyes imo. Something more refine like an intricate pattern based on culture is beautiful, for example in India the colors and patterns, the quality of the fabrics are gorgeous, like its a whole different vibe aesthetic. What we see here imo you can fine it off a rack or something, doesnt give the same vibe as something that says "wedding dress"

Some inner boning or even faux boning would look really pretty and whimsical in this whilst maintaining that minimalist look. You can even get preset ones that you just see right in especially since you did the double lining.

I personally would make big sleeves. More layers of flowers, a bit of drama and keep the body simple. Then jewelry, long veil, maybe also with flowers, this can absolutely work.

I love it! The only thing I would change is the straight line above the bust. It looks good as is but would look better with some curvature above the bust (not sure how to describe it haha kind of like if the top was a little more bralette shaped), but that would increase the difficulty

I think you should try "french seam" on this dress. Basically the side that's gonna be on the outside called right side, what's on inside called left side. You put the fabric together left with left and sew first seam on the right side. Then turn the fabric, and sew another seam on the left side (inside layer). That way it cannot frey.

I sympathise so much with the running out of fabric! Happens to me SO often! That said, i think even though the fabric is stretchy, it looks like you need more ease for actually wearing the dress. I think it would also be more comfortable if you had a little structure in the bodice somewhere so that the sleeves weren't under so much strain. Either that or you could maybe reinforce the sleeves so the delicate flower chain doesn't bear the weight of the whole bodice. The more you make the fabric fit by using the stretch, the more stress the fabric is under and the more force it will need the straps and fancy bits to bear. Also, i think a dress with more ease is more comfortable to wear in a formal setting or a party you'll be at for a while. I think this is fabulous for a first try, though! I could personally never do this well, so i'm very inspired!

The snap off straps make the dress so versatile! The flower straps would make a great bach party dress. Snap on cap sleeves would be great for rehearsal dinner, and snap on thicker off the shoulder details for the wedding reception.
