We have a massive tub at Starbucks that we make it in, and we make it the wet filter way🙂 you felt the pain of all baristas in that moment when it was just dripping. Definitely recommend the French press way for at home, it’s best to make a full batch so you don’t have to prep it every night✌🏼 Also different coffee roasts will change the intensity, the lighter the roast, the lighter the taste. But also the lighter the roast, the higher the caffeine amount, ESPECIALLY in cold brew form, so I don’t recommend using a blonde roast for that. Not good for the heart!

I had no idea all these technicalities. i thought cold brew was just coffee thrown in the fridge. everyday something new. thanks for also reminding me of a jar of pickles I had hanging in my room forgotten. I ate my pickles and smiled at ya. Fridge shot was legit.

what you explained is just iced coffee, so you brew it hot (just like how you make regular coffee) but you then put it over ice/in the fridge. the process of cold brew is literally in the name, you brew it cold. there's a huge difference between the taste and health benefits of the two but I honestly I don't know all of them so I'm not gonna try to explain haha

16 tbsp coarse ground french roast (or coffee of choice) and 40 oz water. This makes the cold brew concentrate. I mix 12 oz concentrate and 10-12 oz water. If you like cream or milk, use that instead of water. Nice 24oz delicious fucking cold brew. I over researched a ridiculous amount so i feel your confusion, for sure. This is my got to ratio for most pitchers. Brew time is up to you. Right now I brew about 24 hours, when I first started I would brew 12-16 hours. (this will fit in your pitcher) (You can absolutely drink the concentrate straight, but it's more expensive that way.)

If you want your cold brew to be less bitter you can try using a coarser grind of coffee (usually labelled for plunger or french press).

Most cold brew recipes make a concentrated version of coffee. Kind of like espresso. You're supposed to add water to each cup. So like 3 oz of concentrate and 3 oz of water would be a normal cup of coffee.
