Funniest thing about the hotdogyaki is I could see Koreans doing exactly this. My grandma used to bring me gimbap (Korean norimaki/makimono) from the Korean grocery store near us and it always had imitation crab in it. One time I ate one and was very confused, and she told me it was hot dog gimbap. Another time, she made me "pizza," which was toast with some kind of unidentifiable sweet red sauce and sliced hot dogs on it. Another staple when I was very young was rice and bologna (which are just hot dog discs, I will not argue this point). Don't know what it is about hot dogs but Koreans somehow manage to work them into everything.
@Hegataro10 сағат бұрын
I don't remember what it's called, but there's a korean dish that involves spam and a bunch of other "american" ingredients, and if I remember correctly, it's all a result of the korean war and the MREs the US soldiers brought over.

Usually it's spam and it originated because Spam was a low-cost and shelf stable meat that was brought in US military bases during the Korean war. Spam's quite good when you slice it thin and pan fry it!

@ If they make them on-site (which I doubt), that would be pretty easy to make tbh. Add a little onion in with the beef, then top with shredded cheese and maybe pico for “supreme”. The Chalupa Ball. It could even have like… nacho cheese or sour cream injected into it like a jelly filled donut.
