I did all those things! I started with eBay , went to Mercari, I did drop shipping, tried affiliate marketing, Shopify. I wanted to do candles but I didn't have enough money/skills. I love the way my candles smell I'm so proud of them! I'm so happy for you! Glad you made it : )

Great video. I am a retired therapist. It was a very fulfilling career. I love candle making and want to own my own candle business. I am approaching sixty and realize that I may never have that six figure candle business as it takes a while to get established. However, I find your chanel very inspiring. I have always had a creative side. I crochet and play the clarinet. So artistry has always appealed to me. I think my interest in candle making came when I was a therapist. I kept fresh flowers and lit a candle at every session. The environment was calming and inviting for my clients.

Awesome ties in nicely with your previous social media video. Everybody through social media always sees the success but not the learning that gets you there. It’s important to understand where you are in your business journey and believe you will be successful. omg, we are so similar. I wanted to be a PE teacher, then a physiotherapist, then a counsellor and now im an english teacher in spain but want to do candles. Ive also tried to write a few books after being a freelance writer.

Been down the same road as well. Started with Ebay, then Mercari, then Amazon (tried selling baby bibs~ DIDN'T WORK) then Dropshipping , then Affiliate Marketing, then Shopify, then opened up a two more Ebay Stores for a total of three. After it's all said and done, now in 2024; got rid of all of them and now just run one large Ebay Store which has been great! It was funny when you mentioned that if only you stayed and focused on Ebay, you'd probably would've been ok....you were probably very right. However, super happy for you on your successful candle business.

I have started several businesses myself with varying levels of success. A house fire where I lost all of my equipment resulted in me stopping my last business. Then starting candles was a way to help my daughter focus on things other than personal issues going on. Come to find out, I actually really enjoy it myself.
