I don’t know why I find your videos so calming and meditative.🧘 I think it may be because you just talk about what you are doing and your delight in new makeup, without much back talk about other things going on, and spending too much time on each product. I have been doing my eyes before face for 40 years. Not only do I avoid the fallout issue, I also can sharpen my eye shadow line with my foundation and concealer.

I’m 59 and have ALWAYS done my eye shadow first. Liner next, then foundation then concealer than powder then blush, then mascara and then lips. I’m talking since 1977! Famous makeup artists at the time recommended this.

My rosacea drives the look. That's why I do the face first - if the rosacea flares up bad and I can't cover it very well, my eyeshadow colors will change. Also, I tend to use more shimmer shades and a darker, stronger brow when the rosacea's bad, to draw the attention to my eyes and away from the cheeks. Love the video, Allie!
