Synopsis:
Cheng Shao Shang is a young girl who was forced to grow up alone after most of her family had to leave to fight in a bloody war. Thus she becomes stubborn and untrusting. She fends for herself in a town populated by people like her, who have been left behind by the war.

...I don't really think that was what she was trying to say here but, if that's the case, General Ling works harder for his love than any man I've ever known so I dunno who Shao Shang thought she was lecturing. This is a girl who doesn't even understand the basic feelings of love and like. Pfft.

The drama has made her character more annoying than it needs to be....if I remember correctly in the novel she was never rude or inconsiderate to anyone who was good to her. In the novel, She just stood up for herself and fought her battles with smarts and cunning. The series sometimes makes her look like an imbecile....I mean wtf was that scene when she came to the palace to meet the emperor and the empress.
