No Rest for the Wicked is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by Moon Studios and published by Private Division. Set in the year 841, the player assumes control of a holy warrior who must travel to the island of Isola Sacra to investigate a plague named the "Pestilence". The game was released for Microsoft Windows through early access in April 2024. Full versions of the game are set to be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S.

I think Sea of Thieves had become very good nowadays. Me and my friends are having a lot of fun with it. By now they have a ton of content in the game (including a 6+ hour long Pirates of The Carribean storyline with really high production value, and a 6+ hour long Monkey Island storyline that's also pretty great)

The controls are going to be what make this game sink or swim. I really hope they figure it out because right now the "smart" controls and not allowing us to rebind and set 1 button for 1 action is nearly unplayable for me. So much potential so I really hope they step up and make the game as playable as it is beautiful.

Super fun and addicting game. At first I kept getting a staff as my first weapon which definitely seems like one of the trickier/weaker weapons for a newbie so I was having a rough time. But after they patched in some changes to early weapon/armor drops I've had a much better time. So much to explore and do and the art style is so amazing.

Even if games were using this as a way of updating AAA titles with those speeds back then it would of taken 8 yrs to update something. Games were released complete. There was no 15 patches etc. If gamers standards are too high, then games companies need to pull there fingers out. Why would expectations be so high if they were never to be met. Regardless of the time AAA titles were still AAA, Even if now we look back and think.. omg that looks atrocious, when it released it was the best looking thing ever created. I started on an amstrad, game boy, Nintendo, snes, mega drive, game gear, ps 1,2,3,4,5.. I'd only say it's since 3/4 on the ps era that this has become the norm. Sad fact is games companies will keep selling alpha/beta wip titles because sadly people have more money than sense and far too much free time. Many are essentially paying to be testers.

The definition of "done" has just been changed thanks to the prevalence of the internet, and gaming becoming corporate. Now devs can push out the game to meet the ridiculous release windows set by idiots and suits, and satisfy the impatient bitter little children that gamers have become. By all means, call out a game when it's broken and unplayable. But people shouldn't be sending death threats to developers because it doesn't run at 240 FPS on their barely held-together toaster of a PC. Even when a game is well-made, performs perfectly on every platform, and would make you a grilled cheese sandwich or something, gamers would somehow find something to bitch about. The gaming industry has changed, and gamers changed with it. From a bunch of fun-seeking enthusiasts to nothing more than toxic little consumers. Being a game developer was once my dream career, now I feel like a dodged a radioactive bullet by deciding not to pursue it.

I’m running this with a 3070 at 1440p balanced & I’m getting a pretty good 60fps. I’ve seen games with FAR WORSE optimisation at full release so for $35 I don’t know why it’s getting mixed reviews. It truly is one of prettiest games I’ve ever seen, intriguing story well told, dense world & challenging too. Won’t lie, I pelted that 1st boss with 8 bombs, that aren’t expensive to buy, so if you get stuck it’s more forgiving than DS. It reminds me of what you’d get if Fable & Dark Souls had a love child. Mixed reviews are harsh, it deserves better especially when EAccess is taken into account. Virtually every other early access game has run worse than this & had less content.

What does this EA build include?? How long is this game now? Does it have an end game? The devs said 15-25 hours, which sounds a lot, but if its 25 hours of going back and forth doing nothing, or collecting some stupid stuff from nooks and platforms forever, than that's not fun 25 hours of content. Thats 25 hours of busywork. So im super curious to know what this game contains in this build

Runs fine at 1080p, i5-13500, nvidia 2060. I haven't noticed any performance issues, but I haven't changed any settings, running whatever it decided when I launched it. Oh, and it is a lot fun. Art direction is incredible, story interesting so far, characters cool, loot getting interesting as I gain levels, etc. Good game that will only get better. Only negative so far? Fall damage is the most dangerous opponent in the game.

Really enjoying it. Love souls-like games, love arpgs like PoE, and love mmo games. This game has the combat of a soulslike, the prefix, affixes, rarities of PoE, and craft/gathering of mmos. Gone through the first and second zone several times just to gather and fight things to upgrade the town and player housing.

Luke you seem to have a talent for sabotaging yourself. I was fighting that first boss at about sub 20fps, tweaked some settings out of the game and fixed it. Took me about three tries on a one handed sword.

I had my memory page file size set too high, which disrupted how my ram allocated space (I think). And now I'm at a point where tweaking resolution doesn't effect frames. It's really goddamn weird. I now only get slowdown when physics kick in (breaking barrels/boxes), or the screen gets littered with effects.

It is early access, so more tweaking will almost certainly happen, also, you can probably turn down a lot without losing much in graphical wonder but gaining quite a bit in FPS too, let alone with more tweaking. But most of all, how does it play, it's a style of game we have not seen much, and it has a great art style, a bit more like Dishonered. I like it so far.

This game is amazing.. one tip for new players.. don’t get too attached to a weapon right away, save some stat points and hyper focus stamina. If you don’t have good stamina you are going to die a lot, you will still die a lot lol.. Also go to the WAR room once you get to sacrament, and fight that mini boss challenge and fight and fight.. It will help you get use to how to time and fight. It look me 2 hours to beat him which felt like I wasted time.. but then I went out into the world and was so ready for the pace and movement of the game.. there is an adjustment period even for veteran souls players.. which I am. OVERALL. THIS GAME IS VERY FUN and most will enjoy the deep rich lore they seem to be building!

03:10 - I have an RTX 3090 Suprim X and an AMD 7800X3D. And with everything maxed out and in 4k resolution the game runs at a solid 60 fps absolutely everywhere, inside, outside, on the ship, on the island, during combat, etc. Either the game has a 4000 series problem, or the RTX 4080 GPU user mentioned in the video has other problems in his rig. Most likely the CPU is overheating, since he mentioned his CPU is sitting at 100%...and it starts throttling heavily to lower temp, crawling to a much slower frequency... With the recent problems 13th and 14th gen Intel CPU owners are facing in games (crashes, high power draws, etc), I'm wouldn't be surprised... But it may even be software related (faulty drivers, other software etc)... I encountered 0 (zero) performance issues in the first 2 hours I've played until now. Not saying someone with an older rig won't encounter problems. But a 4080 + I9 13900K not running this game smoothly at 1440p, not even 4k, is certainly not normal.

~5 hours in myself. Game definitely needs some polish on both gameplay and optimization, but seems like a really solid start. Not sure what level Luke was when he fought the boss, but managed to get it first try (barely) running sword and board around level 3 or 4.

This game is fantastic. I’ve played a lot of different souls-likes and this one definitely stands out. The striking visuals and the fluid combat are extremely satisfying. On top of all of that, it seems these devs are putting in 40 hr days cuz they’ve been patching this game non-stop since release. i am just happy to see moon studio is back again with a soulsborne Arpg...And its getting lot of attention. I think there are very few good studio that excels the genre. And moon studio is one of them. i love the game. I am playing it on my 4060ti 8GB i5 14500 32GB ram. And it runs pretty smooth on 1080P like 80 to 60 on quality mode and 70 to 60 on resolution scale to 120%. Might drop to 55 on some places which is understandable on early access. I am sure they're gonna fix performance on final version. I am gonna play the fcuk outta this game when its gonna come out!

I've played for a few hours. Initial impressions are that the art and visual style is super unique. Combat left me feeling meh. Durability and inventory space just feels old and played out imho. I hope they spend some time focusing on combat. The exploration and verticality are on point. 12900K 4090 native 4k and didn't have too many problems. Some slight hitching when zones would load.

On top of that, I am so SICK & TIRED of “Early Access” for video games. When it’s done right, by a trustworthy studio like Larian , then ofc it can be used to optimize and make the BEST game for the players that actually are going to play it. But for every Larian , you have multiple Blizzard style developers that ABUSE the Early Access tag, outright. At the end of the the day, the ends just don’t seem to justify the means anymore. One could say that these companies also engage in these practices to escape having to pay and allocate time for play testers and actual QA 😮‍💨😤

Yeah, I died seven or eight times to Warrick the Torn. I stuck with the greatsword through it, just to "git good", but the fact is... I'm not very good at this. I think the parry window needs to be opened up juuust a tiny bit. At least leave it ajar and don't slam it in my face so hard. Other than that I love it so far. Especially art direction, cutscenes and the weighty feel of the combat. I do hate the very low item durability for tools especially, though. And the game could do with a lot more atmospheric background music. It's a _very_ mute game, outside of combat. Let's see, what they come up with during early access. This is a great first course for me 😊

My major gripes are the performance, platforming/fall damage, multiple actions on one button, and weapon degradation mechanic. I also wouldn't mind more accessibility options and button remapping. I'm hoping DLSS can help further on top of the game continuously being optimized further to full release. Other than that, wow... Visually, it is one of the best-looking games I have seen. Not in photorealism but in how dynamic the animations and physics are and the top-class art direction. I really like handcrafted content and you can see the love and passion they poured with the environments. Right now, I would tell people to wait, but this has the potential of being something very special!

The thing with pc gaming is there is so many variables. The review that had the 4080 guy could be running it on a dodgy PSU that is struggling to drive the thing which could explain poor performance we just cant know. Just gotta keep that in mind.
