As a budget bride, I actually got my wedding dress from Azazie (the "Fantasia" style). It was $399 and I was extremely happy with it - especially because it was so hard to find non-designer dresses in that style. So I'd highly recommend it for other budget brides who can't afford expensive dresses.

I used Birdy Grey for my wedding and am now using them again as a bridesmaid for another wedding, and love them! Great price, quality, and fit. I would say the size chart is very helpful for determining your right size in lieu of numeric sizes. We had little to no issues with the fit.

As far as I know, Azazie is the only one that comes with free custom sizing. For me the cost saved on getting alterations made them the clear winner when choosing bridesmaids dresses for my wedding.

However, the last time I was a bridesmaid, I sent my EXACT measurements to Azazie and received a custom dress that was huge. Unfortunately, with the custom sizing, you can’t make any returns. I had to get my dress altered anyway and it still fit weird because of how stiff the fabric was in that particular dress design - the shoulder straps hovered above my shoulders.

A few girls in a wedding I was in ordered the custom sizing, and not one of them felt it fit. They all ended up ordering try on boxes and figuring out what fit best from there.

@@funnykitten17 from what I've heard, a lot of companies that claim custom sizing are kind of bogus. Unless one goes to a smaller business, I think a lot of them just take your measurements and send you a premade one in your size, that might vary based on height.

I’d recommended sizing in metric versus imperial. My sister ordered custom sizing from azazie and it’s big in the hips. She even took off one inch from her actual sizing because it’s a tie back/corset-like back to it. She, now, has to get it altered.

I'm Canadian so all the orders were done in cm, maybe that helped. They fit perfectly for all 4 of my girls and fit for me when I was in a wedding last year. But super unfortunate that it didn't work for everyone here.

If you're not a standard size, Azazie is great. We used them for my wedding and for my friend's, and I'm 5'1" and curvy and I saved a FORTUNE by being able to order free custom sizing. Maybe if you're an average height and size, it's not a big deal. But if you're doing an honest review of bridesmaid dress companies to use for people with bridal parties who come in a range of shapes and sizes, I'd urge you to review these from the perspective of body diversity & inclusiveness, not just based on how they fit you personally.

For anyone wondering, my bridesmaids ordered azazie, azazie asked for their EXACT measurements, yet 2 out of 3 girls had to get theirs altered to a corset back because the dresses were too small, and too long. Edit your measurements as you would like to be safe, I would even suggest bridesmaids ordering 2 and then sending 1 back.

I’m getting married on 12/15/22. I went with Birdy Grey after ordering swatches of the various fabrics and colors. I wanted a dusty rose/pink but more nuanced since I was avoiding burgundy and greens (christmas 😅). I went with Desert Rose in the Chiffon material. I let my 4 bride maids pick whichever style they wanted in the color and fabric I chose. I have very different sized and shaped bridesmaids with varying complexions I’m Soooo happy with the process. The girls all got a dress they love and look great in. My sister (she’s 5’0”) is getting it slightly hemmed but thats all she needed. The chiffon dresses have pockets!!! So that was a fun surprise for them. ❤ I’m so excited for the wedding and would HIGHLY recommend Birdy Grey for bridesmaids wear. One of the bridesmaids is gifting us all PJs through them so I might be able to come back and report on that too. ☺️ I’m wanting to defend Birdy grey since the dress tried on wasn’t chiffon like the others, and I think it would have given Kennedy Blue a run for it’s money. 😂 Thank you Jamie for trying these on. It’s great to have options! I ordered my dress and my 2 attendants’ dresses from the Sears catalog. I had to cut out pictures and send them _by mail_ to the girls for their okay (one in SD, one in MI). Then we discussed size by phone (after 9pm because long-distance). They were all pretty awful. The most charitable thing I can say was that they were not as “excessive” as some; the styling was fairly classic. And they were cheap-ish, which was critical. Still, my husband and I managed to overcome and have been married 33 years. ❤️

Like that you pointed out the low back on the azazie dress. So many of their dresses are impossible to wear a normal bra with (or any bra). As a bigger, bustier woman, I hated having to wear azazie for a friends wedding. My girls wore Kennedy Blue! Went through the whole home try on process with my maid of honor (and we tried 5 or 6 different companies) and Kennedy Blue was by far the best looking and the most bang for your buck.

I wore a Kennedy Blue bridesmaids dress to my friends wedding in October & we all LOVED them. They were so comfortable, soft & fit so well!! More recently, I tried on a few bridesmaids dresses from Azazie for a 2023 wedding & I was soo disappointed in them. The fit & material was so weird!

I’m getting married in March 2023 and my bridesmaids and mom are wearing dresses from JJ House. They had the best royal blue color out of all the swatches I had. I think the quality depends on the dress. 3 of my bridesmaids have their dresses and like them and my mom likes her dress too. They fit well in standard sizing.

I did KF bridal for my bridesmaids dresses. Before picking a dress color I was able to order free or very low price color swatches. Then, my family and I bought my favorite dress to see how it would look in person. Loved it and decided that would be the dress for all my bridesmaids. Because we ordered all of them in one order KF bridal gives some benefits: - free shipping, free custom sizing, free ties in the same color (but they did not work due to different material from the bridesmaids dresses), free pockets, and free flower girl dresses.

I love this! I’ve worn Azazie twice as a bridesmaid and Birdy Grey once! I love both, but I especially love the variety of Azazie! The range of colors and styles and prices is unmatched, in my opinion. But I’m also intrigued by Baltic Born and I’ve heard less about them as a company (though I’ve liked bridesmaids in their dresses at weddings I’ve been to!). Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Love this video idea! I actually prefer Azazie over Kennedy Blue because there are sooo many different styles and colors. Plus they have a lot of different fabric options. I would be so curious to know what the fabric was for the one you tried on. Kennedy Blue had nice dresses but the colors and styles are pretty limited. I struggled to find a dress that looked good on me and I liked, plus I had an issue with the built in cups. Being able to try on any of these dresses is absolutely essential in my opinion

My bridesmaids are going with a Revelry chiffon dress. I picked them for the quality of fabric & the deep olive color which was highly important to me. All of the other manufacturers' green fabrics either showed blue in photos or too yellow in the case of olive. They also had a matching junior bridesmaid dress that we needed. The try on process was wonderful & exactly as shown! Crepe is a very unforgiving fabric especially when used with a more fitted silhouette, so that wasn't exactly a fair comparison with the other dresses. Unless you are used to crepe fabric though that's not readily apparent & an easy miss. Spot on though that it seems Revelry does run larger in the bust which is more inclusive to those with larger busts. However it does mean for smaller busts you will probably need to include alterations. They also have petite, regular & tall sizing to help with hemming options. I can definitely see if you are on a smaller budget, timeline or if the desired colors is a more standard available color that another manufacturer would be a better fit.

I have my bridesmaids using azazie. Biggest reason is colors. They have so many colors. I’m using their candy pink and a lot of those other don’t have that type of color as their colors are more muted. Secondly.. you can have custom sizing for no extra charge. Then you don’t need to get alterations. So you can do a try on and then order the one you want in custom sizing. And then my other best friend used azazie as well for her bridesmaids and had good things to say. One of my best friends just tried on her first three dresses from azazie.

I wore a Kennedy Blue dress in a wedding this summer and It had really nice fabric and i liked the dress (I maybe could have picked a better style for my body, but that's on me). My bridesmaids are wearing a velvet green dress that I found on Amazon (of all places) for my wedding December 30th. We bought a sample dress and the fabric and cut were very nice. . . The boob pads were in a weird spot, so we cut those out and they work perfectly.

While Kennedy Blue might be the best option overall, it seems like Azazie is the best option for those on a budget. One of my bridesmaids had a very bad experience because she had to buy body tape and was the only one wearing heels to help with the dress length from not dragging too much (She did order at the very last minute though). Another girl dodged a bullet from the free custom sizing, another girl’s dress dragged a little and the chest was a little lose on her, and the MOH’s dress fit her perfectly because she’s tall. But almost all of them were college students/recent graduates so they couldn’t have afforded Kennedy Blue as well and the Try On program, price range, and variety of styles was what won me over as a bride.

I bought a dress from JJ's House for my son's wedding in August in "Ink Blue", which was a Dark Jade/Blue. It was great. It wasn't any of the things you described. But I did do a custom order, where I gave them all my measurements and my height so it fit really well. If anything, my issue was that the dress was heavy, and in mid-August I was a little over-heated after an hour of standing during their Antiochian Orthodox wedding in a small church crammed to the gills with people! But that isn't JJ House's fault.

The bridal shops in my area are doing away with bridesmaid dresses altogether. Online is so popular, and for good reason. The ones that alter them for you do a decent job of it, too. I’ve had a few of those come to me for alterations, but they just needed minor adjustments.

I just had my wedding 11/05, and I only had one MOH so don't know MUCH but she LOVED Birdy Grey! We had a pretty strict criteria: wanted a specific shade of blue, something that covered her arms but not looking like a casual dress-so we didn't go with Kennedy Blue.. but anyways, we were pleasantly surprised of how good the quality of the dress was compared to the price (could not imagine asking her to buy a dress that cost $200, nor have her wear something fitting that weirdly even tho she said she would do anything for my day) It was a bit too big so we got it exchanged which I was worried it would come on time but it did & we loved it in pics & irl!

I had an Azazie dress (the Kaitlyn I think in case people are wondering) and I had to get it altered as I found the sizes ran big. I had to get the smallest size, and I still had it taken in and I don't look THAT tiny. Got the job done though! I liked that the site had a lot of discount codes btw, and for free you can try on three dresses and then mail them back!

It seems like any bridesmaid and wedding dress will always need to be altered. I got dresses in person, where I can try them on, and it always needs to be altered. I'm short so hemming will always be a thing, but there's always other issues. I always find it funny that, that's a critism in these videos bc I doubt most people will find a dress they don't need to be altered.

I bought my dress in jjs house and I think it depends the dress because my dress was thick not see through and a heavy feel so I loved it. I had gone to David's bridal and it was more expensive and thin so I did not like that at all. So I think on jjs house it will be the dress design n stuff 🤔 to see if it is thin and see through

I had the same issue with Birdy Grey's sizing. I had bought a medium because I'm usually a medium but I had to return the dress to get a small. I wish it was a bit more accurate on the sizing but I actually love the dress I got. It was comfy and cute, and I loved how it had pockets! I got so many compliments on the style I got (I got the Jane dress). If you do this again with more brands, would you consider trying Baltic Born (Borne? Not sure which hahaha)? I've been liking the look of their dresses but I'm not sure how the quality is and I loved this review you did.

After reading the description on the JJ's House dress, it does say it is not fully lined. So it's going to be pretty thin. But honestly the straps didn't look any different than any of the other ones. I liked the variety of JJ's House compared to some of the others. I just ordered my bridesmaid dresses from there so I'll see how they are soon enough.

I went with the Theresa in medium. I was convinced I'd be so disappointed and either get the wrong size or just hate the fit. Was between medium and large based on my measurements (which are awkward and review said runs small) but the medium was in stock so I went for it. It came really fast and I absolutely love it. Its a miracle lol. I need the length altered but besides that its perfect. Even the built in padding fits well I wont even have to worry about a bra and im very flat chested. I honestly was expecting the absolute worst but I got really lucky and I hope it holds up well at the wedding

Mine had pockets that were really great, and I like that they added a slit option. I had to get my hemmed, but I wish they would have 2 length options! Be careful if you have the chiffon fabric as it stains really easily!

I just had to wear a birdy grey dress in a wedding last weekend and the straps were so dinky on my dress. One of the straps broke when my dress was just sitting in my closet on the hanger and another bridesmaid had both her straps break when dancing. Alterations also cost more than the dress and I don’t think it was worth it at all. It was frustrating trying to choose a style because once the bride chose a fabric and color there was only about 9 options. I ordered 2 styles in different styles and had to pay for both. The return on 1 was easy but just not satisfied with their dresses.

I have a JJ’s bridesmaid dress from a previous wedding that I was a part of, and it was pretty well-constructed. Had good weight and boned bodice structure, wasn’t see through even though it was a very pale color. (To be fair, I did wear nude undergarments, so that definitely helped with reducing see-through.) I did have to do some alterations on the straps and the back to make them sit well, but I overall highly enjoyed the dress. Sorry to see your experience with JJ’s was so poor… I think it’s just very dependent on the exact dress. I love reverly but the sizing differences so much from fabric to fabric. I loved a velvet dress I order in size 16 for my friend's wedding but I ordered a size 18 in chiffon and that same fabric and it wouldn't even zip!! I try to ask questions on the Facebook multiple times just to understand, and it doesn't get approved. It doesn't make my bridesmaids feel good when a size 16 fits in one fabric and the other sizes they need a 20 size

The folds on the David's Bridal cowl neck just look bizarre. I'm not sure if that's a sewing error or if it could be fluffed, but it doesn't look right.

I'm glad you gave an honest review of azazie and jjs house. Everyone loves them because of their color selection and allegedly wide selection of dress tops, but there is so much more to consider for making a decent dress. They feel so cheap and extremely itchy. They are also so thin, even with lining, that they show every lump, bump, underwear and seam! And the sewing is not great. I struggled so much wearing them as a busty girl. You can offer me all the top styles in the world, but if you don't really size for bustier girls, it's pointless. I have really nice professionally fitted bras and I can't wear them with 90% of the top styles. And none of these dresses have enough structure/boning for a real built in bra that actually supports, it's pointless. It's like the illusion of choice. Returns are also a nightmare. They sent me a dress where one boob pad was 2 inches higher than the other. Refused to refund or exhange because I "missed the deadline". The reality is a emailed them days before the deadline, as soon as I got the dress actually. But it all depends on when they respond to you/acknowledge you and they just ignored my emails for help until the deadline had passed. It was really distressing. I had actually ordered a second dress in case the first had issues. It never came in and again they refused to refund. I was out triple figures yet these are seen as the affordable/frugal options??? I try my best to convince my friends not to use them, without sounding judgy or whiney. When it works, it's fine, but if anything goes wrong at all, it is a very very expensive nightmare.

to bad that Kennedy doesn't ship to the Netherlands :( we don't have a similar option here and even buying in store is difficult since Bridesmaids dresses for adults aren't a thing here (yet)

Oh noooo!!! Just watched this and already chose bridesmaid dresses for our 1/21/23 - I did it, folks...I made my girls wear JJ's House :( I'm so sad to hear your review! I chose them because their blues were my favorite, and pricing was reasonable. The feedback I've received from bridesmaids is to order 1.5 sizes up. Now I'm nervous to see how they wear throughout the day!!

i had 9 bridesmaids in jj's house and they all looked amazing. Don't worry about it! I also chose mine from there based on color and they were gorgeous. hopefully this was just a one off issue!

Such a shame that you had a bad experience with Revelry! I’ve had multiple very very positive experiences with them (really high quality and cute cuts/colors). Would definitely recommend looking at the size charts rather than just size number for them though.

My bridesmaids wore Birdy Grey dresses in the color Dove Gray. One huge thing that pulled me towards Birdy Grey was how affordable it was while still looking like it was an expensive dress. I gave my bridesmaids free reign on whatever style they wanted but it just had to be the same color. There were so many different styles and silhouettes that could flatter any body type! My bridesmaids loved their dress and had no issue! Highly recommend going with Birdy Grey if you are shopping for bridesmaid dresses!

It's official: I'm way too cheap for bridesmaid dresses. I'd rather spend hours hunting for enough of the same dress for several women at an off-price store. At least those would be more likely to be worn again.

We had the WORST experience with revelry. The dresses are made in china and take 4 months to arrive which makes it hard to do try ons if you’re on a close timeline 😅 the quality is awful and 7 out of 7 bridesmaids needed $100+ alterations on their $200 dress. Plz pick ANYWHERE else

Glad they loved their dresses!! 💗 Our gowns are cut longer to accommodate varying heights, so alterations are sometimes required.

I got the Birdy Grey convertible "Christina" dress and it gives me all the four boobs. Hopefully i can figure out a way to tie it that will hide the fugly. I honestly have an enviable figure, so im not pleased that the dress that looks good on everyone looks like crap on me.

lol that was surprising from JJ's house since my bridesmaids had 3 styles and everyone loved them! but also possibly because I didn't pick the ugliest dress in all history 😂like i get it that it's probably the closest they had to the other styles from other companies but dude out of the gate it's hideous and I don't think it's a fair representation lol
