A lot of really wealthy people I know don't care about the social impact of buying fakes. Plus, they probably look down on the "country bumpkins" who spend a lot of money on expensive bags. With luxury brands raising prices again and limiting inventory, *hotdups* knockoffs are more appealing. The amount is affordable for us, not as expensive as the originals, which is nice.

Travelon for me! I have 3 medium-small bags (different sized/shapes) and their water bottle carry which I use for travel AND everyday around town. Who knows? A pickpocket may show up in a public elevator or even the gym, so I try to make it difficult for them to get into my purse/bag with the safety features.

Perception is everything, I remember saving up for my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. At that point I really stopped caring what people's opinions were, people will always have their opinions based on how you look. After this I shopped in *HOTDUPS* . If you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermès, no one will question you.

I bought a canvas LV bag with my first bonus and within 2 years the purse was cracked/broken in multiple places and the store refused to repair or replace it. I don't know what resale value this crap has. I ended up donating it... well maybe I could buy a fake LV from *hotdups* but these designers/robber barons don't even think about taking a dime from me. This one satisfies my fantasy of many authentic products and I can afford to buy them.

There's nothing wrong with this fake. I mean, it's just because the chain doesn't jingle haha, the replica bags are much cheaper than the real thing, *hotdups* making them a great choice for those who are on a budget but still want to be fashionable, and there's nothing wrong with the appearance of the color or anything, so you can buy it with confidence.

I actually snagged the travelon bag at goodwill and used it on two recent trips. Loved it. It has great functionality and felt very secure in cities and crowds. I love the outside waterbottle holders. That is something I definitely look for in a travel bad.

I love the Bagallini everywhere crossbody bag, it’s similar in style to the MHCNLL one you showed without the shoulder pad but much, much better quality. I have the previous model for over 5yrs and just bought the new one. It has an external side pocket for a water bottle and one the opposite side has a pocket that zips over for my umbrella. Comes with RFID pouch.

I recent took a two week UK tour. I wore the wanderer on travel days. It made light travel easy. Didn't realize it wasn't RFID. :( However, I also bought a Pacsafe. I loved it. My Pacsafeis a step up as it transfers to a backpack. It is about the same size as the purse you showed. So versatile, I would give it 4 stars. Thank you for the video.

I love baggalini. I have many different styles, a bucket type crossbody, a larger size that can fit a pair of shoes, a Fanny pack/small crossbody, and a carry on duffle that fits a ton but still fits under the airplane seat. I have an rfid card that’s always in my wallet and I have a locking clip I can put on any purse.

I have a small Travelon cross body convertible. It’s been my everyday bag since I purchased it. If I want to have a rain jacket or umbrella , I would attach it to the bag with a small hero clip. I love it!

I have a similar Travelon bag and I love it. I use it all the time when I'm out for the day or travel as it has two water bottle pockets (they zip up to nothing when you don't need them) and plenty of room for everything yet doesn't dwarf my small frame (also 5'3"). Perfect travel bag and super secure. I've had mine for gosh, going on 10 years maybe? Still looks brand new. I have a small convertible belt bag to night bag I carry also so that I have a nicer going out option with me and I leave the other in the trunk so I still have things I may need with me. But for travel day, it can't be beat. I have a couple Bagalinis too which I love. Not for security, but for convenience of use.

I have the sash bag I have in fabric because I don’t like leather or fake leather. I carry it when I work. I’m a flight attendant and it is perfect. It holds so much stuff. It is unbelievable and you don’t even feel that you have it on you. The Sash is an amazing bag! One of the things I like about the sash bag the most is it fits evenly on your hip and you never have to take it off so if you’re sitting down in a restaurant, you never have to take it off in fact, I forget that I’m wearing it sometimes because it fits so nicely against my body.

I bought my black Travelon small crossbody bag, which is RFID and slash-resistant. I took it to Seattle and on an Alaska cruise this summer and it was perfect, both in size and functionality. I don't know if it is still available on Amazon and I paid about $35.00 last year.

I got a Wander sling bag to use when I went to Las Vegas and it worked great. It held a lot and was close to my body and I was hands free while using it. I didn’t need a slash proof bag going to Vegas but I would recommend this bag for anyone who wants a bag that is close to your body. If you need a high security bag, invest in a good one. 😎

I have bought several travel purses over the years, like you I find the PacSafe, Travelon and the Baggallini purses to have the best functionality, that being said, I also have returned several of them as well. While I like the feature of the cables in the Travelon and PacSafe straps, they tend to be bulky not very feminine but are sturdy. The Baggallini now has web straps which are not my favorite either, make me think of gym bags. I bought 2 of the original Baggallini Everyday bags, while on the small size, no water bottle sleeve, no security features of RFID or locking zippers. It has the wallet pocket that can hold plenty of money, 6 credit cards & coins, it has a sleeve pocket in the back the you can tuck your phone, passport & boarding pass in. The main compartment also has a couple of pockets and I have put a camera, tissues pack, small tube of sunscreen or lotion, a small pouch with that holds bandaids, pills & nail file,etc. plus a micro umbrella. I have looked for a bigger bag with these same qualities which I found in Baggallini’s Everywhere bag but what holds me back from purchasing it is the web strap, I find it looks cheap. I probably will keep using the Everyday bag, it seems to work for the last 20 years.😁😁😁

I bought a baggalini at Marshall’s ages ago that I use almost every trip. I don’t think they make that style anymore. Similar to On Track though. Big enough for an umbrella and water bottle. I love all the pockets. I never really loved the look of the strap. This year I finally bought another strap from Amazon and had a tailor attach it. It’s much cuter now!

#5 was perfect for my son and I in Italy this summer. I had RFID passport wallet, folding map, and even a small battery operated fan in main compartment. I could keep a charger block and cables in front pocket 1. Lip balm and airpods in smaller front pocket. A Brita filter water bottle OR umbrella in side pocket. Nice wide straps and sat comfortably across front or back for keeping bag safe. And allowed for hands free, of course. Cell phone (15 pro max) fit in large pocket when needed, but most of the time phone was in my hands.

Wish I'd seen this before I left on my trip. I purchased the cheap, flat crossbody that I think I ordered from an Internet business (Xinsh?) for around $30. I tried it for a day or two before our trip and I really liked it. BUT, we were doing a little shopping the evening before our flight, and one of the woven straps literally unraveled! The purse was immediately unusable. There was a travel store at the mall, and I chose a PacSafe bag in a slightly larger size than you showed. It has locking, accessible pockets on both sides and converts to a backpack, which I didn't think I wanted, but I did end up using it that way quite a bit. The bag that I chose was $130, but I think it was worth it for all of the safety features, the light colored lining, lightweight moisture-proof fabric, convertibility, space, organization. After 9 days of hard use (I even used it as a beach bag), it still looks brand-new.

Lululemon City Adventurer Belt Bag 2.5L. I have been using it for over a year and I love it. Took it even to El Camino de Santiago in Spain. I added safety clips and that is it. Super comfortable as a belt or crossbody bag. I tried different ones and this one is the one!

I used the Wander bag in Ireland I loved it. Everything I needed fit . It was light weight. It fit under my jacket. I felt my passport fit in pocket closest to my body. Front pockets were great for easy access. Sometimes I forgot I had it on. I brought a little Coach clutch for evening.

I have this style bag as well and find it great for travel for those little quick trips where you don't need alot with you. It's super lightweight and is out of the way when wearing. I clip on a foldable shopping bag in a little pouch to have if needed. For the times I need to carry more, I use a larger baggallini.

It was nice to see the comparion on the four factors---TY. I have a Lug Zipliner that I frequently use for travel as another factor for me (more than any evening use) is can it pack flat. It has convertible straps where I can wear it crossbody or as a backpack (although not heavily loaded). But security except RFID would be low. I clip the zippers with a S-clip & keep a money belt with key stuff/passport next to my body in high pick pocket areas.

It's a bit bigger to carry but I switched out the shoulder strap with another sturdy one that I bought on Amazon and I really like it. I am from Western Australia. I have been subscribed for some time and really appreciate your videos. Thank you My first anti-theft travel bag purchased in 2008 was a Pacsafe and I have had several over the years, but not recently. I have downsized from what I used to carry around and prefer something that doesn't scream 'tourist'. Interestingly, the last Pacsafe I bought was the one you loved, but I did not like it at all and passed it on. I thought the straps uncomfortable, loved the little pleated feature but thought it ugly with the top of the bag flipped over, especially the big zip. My bag of choice this year has been the Travelon 'Anti-Theft Metro Dome Crossbody'. It's a small but roomy bag - similar to the current 'camera' bag style. I initially bought it in green and trailed using it at home for a month as my everyday bag. I have just ordered black as it will be better for my capsule travel wardrobe. I will be going on holiday on 4 September (Barcelona, London then Portugal 3 weeks). This will be my first attempt at carryon only for a 5 week holiday.

thanks for the review. i only travel with pacsafe, the BEST security bags. they cost more and are often not the most stylish things, but function over style in my mind. i even carry mine just going on a day trip or visiting my parents because it’s so well thought out. one of the kickers for me is having a water bottle holder. if it doesn’t, i won’t buy/use it.

After watching this review I purchased the PacSafe Convertible Crossbody bag. I am leaving on a cruise to Alaska next week and was looking for a lightweight, weatherproof crossbody bag that can hold my daily essentials like packable rain jacket and glasses even my IPad mini fits with room to spare when expanded. This bag will look good all day and into the evening, it has a more lux feel and unlike cross body bags I've travelled with, a really pretty shape when it's converted to a clutch or folded down. One thing I found out with a Bagalini is that, since the hardware is very substantial, if you have too much of it on the bag, it will make it heavy and, ideally, you want a travel bag to be as lightweight as possible. I found this out the hard way on a two week trip to Italy where, upon my return, I gave the bag away!

I still love it! As far as locking the zippers, I have a couple of small s-clips to put on it. It had lots of pockets and is fairly waterproof, although it doesn’t have a liner. It’s probably the size of the bucket one. Also my husband bought some RFID sheets or pockets on Amazon that I can slip into my wallet.

I like your content but this felt a little weird. You ordered bags without security measures and then complained that they had no security measures? You didn’t put anything in them so how do we really know if a rain jacket or umbrella would really fit? Travelon all the way! I bought my first one on Ebags (miss them). I keep my eyes open and have bought Travelon bags at Goodwill, Amazon, and TJ Maxx. It is interesting to rate the style of the purses she bought because Travelon has so many styles. Most fit my iPad mini, but I also have a backpack, and small crossbody ones that basically hold my phone, license and a lipstick. I feel very secure and have never had a problem with pickpockets. I like that you can unhook one side of the strap to wrap around your chair or table. Watch a video to explain all the safety options because there are many.

I shopped in Chicago for these this summer tons of stores. Thackery made two sizes that work for me...they were bargains at Nordstrom Rack otherwise pricey. They are truly featherweight unloaded. I just wish they came in colors other than black. A beige would be nice or white for summer. They were lightest and roomiest I tried.

I love the Travelon bag. Used it for years until it wore out. The water bottle pockets are useful for summer or stash a mini umbrella in them. It is large enough to hold a small tablet. I just bought a small pouch travelon bag. No waterbottle holder but also not able to weigh it down. Room for essentials only.

My usual carry (for decades!) is a medium sized Ameribag "healthy back bag". Big interior with a big, wide opening that looks like it's on the side, but isn't really. Lots of pockets inside and out, and it easily lays flat in luggage. I also have a Pacsafe, and a Travelon for slash resistant qualities, but they're heavy.

Pacsafe all the way! I love mine and use it every day, I also have Pacsafe daypacks and totes, and a sling purse. I have travelled with various combinations of them in Turkey, Greece, Egypt & New Zealand. My husband also has a small pacsafe backpack and sling wallet. Our guides were very approving of their security. Especially compared to many other foolish people with slouchy leather or other fabric bags often left open carelessly and with no slash proof body or strap OR RFID - crazy. And the amount of guys who insist on carrying a wallet in their back pocket - insane!

I have a baggalini crossbody purse that’s larger than the one you showed, similar to the Briggs, that I like a lot. My wallet is rfid so that’s less important to me. It’s my number one day bag if I’m not carrying a backpack. PacSafe quality is terrific, and they stand behind their products. I had a backpack that the color faded. I sent a picture and they mailed me a new one. I’ve had eye on their bag that converts from purse to backpack. Amen to the pads on a strap! And your hair looks amazing.

I love my Briggs and Riley bag. I wouldn’t say it’s a “bucket bag”. It’s very roomy but lays flat. I used to use a “slash proof” bag - in fact I bought two and on both purses, after a year, the little wires i. The strap poked through the fabric and scratched up my arms. Not good.

I purchased that small baggillini bag. It looked great but as soon as you put anything in it, it was bulky and misshapen. You might want to look at Sportsac bags. I have a weekender and a crossbody and a few small bags I have had for 12 years and they look brand new I bought them all first travel. I have baggillini too but the shoulder straps on the Sportsac are so comfortable to wear over any other brand. Quality is top notch and the array of color and patterns are amazing.

A random front pocket is wonderful for a quick tap transit pass, especially when not RFID blocking. You can just lift the whole bag up to the scanner instead of digging for the pass! I’m kind of in love with that purple lined baggalini one now. If the back pocket was zipped instead of snapped it would be perfect.

I have the travel on bucket bag & it’s great. I can fit soooo much stuff in it though, the more I shove the heavier the bag becomes throughout the day. But otherwise I am very happy. Enough pockets, fits a lot, good security, looks nice, fits my water bottle, breakable & extra sweater or a packable rain jacket, etc. light interior helps to find stuff. The price on Amazon was a bit more than I wanted to spend but as I’ve used it on several trips now, I’ve more than made that worth it.

I was a bit confused at the “EDC comparison title” …because (to me) edc means something else 😂 Thank you for taking the time to compare all of them…just as you indicated there’s some that just won’t cut it for lack of durability or rfid elements, but there’s two that could be future options for me. I have baggalini, bagsmart and a couple others - depending on destination, length of time etc will dictate which gets used.

I know you want to return these but without you actually seeing what CAN fit in these bags this is not that helpful. That bagalini looked like it had at least three inches of depth if not four,, but you left it flat throughout the review.

I was thinking the same thing. Have standard items and try to fit in each bag... wallet, umbrella, jacket, water bottle, lipstick, etc.

Thank you for this video, it's very informative. In my opinion, nylon travel bags are too obvious, only tourists carry these. I believe it is safer to not look like a tourist in all occasions. So usually my quest is to find a lightweight cross-strap "city bag", pliable but with some structure that would provide enough room for what I bring, include different pockets and zipper closures. I have some bags with RFID pockets but I prefer to carry a RFID wallet inside. I guess my choice of bag would be rated 0 for security... but it is my preference.

Thank you for the informative video! I am a huge PacSafe fan. Had an LS100 for several years and loved it, but wanted one a smidge larger to carry everything I was going to need in a day, so I sized up to the LS200. I love that I can put everything in there, lock the zippers, and feel secure that I don't have to worry about it while focusing on other, far more interesting things while traveling! Also, the side pockets hold a water bottle and a Rick Steves umbrella (also recommended) perfectly, so it's 5 stars all around for me.

Thank you for this comparison. I purchased a Travelon cross body in 2018. It is smaller than the one you have but it looks as good today as it did when I got it. I love the little light on the keychain too. I’ve been looking to get more of a sling/fanny pack for an upcoming trip so I very much appreciate the comparisons.

My go-to when traveling is Travelon. I have several because I like to change up from trip to trip😀. Just because.... I'll be traveling soon and have another Travelon to try. It's looks more like a regular everyday bag but safety features all around. Great video and thanks for sharing!

I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

I had a Baggallini purse that I used for travel. Unfortunately, all of my clothing, shoes and luggage picked up mold in The Dominican Republic and everything had to be thrown away. 😢 My husband’s clothes were packed in Briggs & Riley luggage-nothing had to be tossed!

Kipling bags are the best! You should review. Super lightweight roomy and stylish enough! Backpacks are also not for me. Too much to get in and out of!

Although they are not in the “travel, safe” type of bag, description… Kipling bags are my absolute favorites. I have Kipling bags from I don’t know how long ago 20 years at least and the zippers are so nice they never break no matter how much I shove into those bags they are awesome!

I have the Travelon Anti-Theft Cross-Body Bucket Bag that has worked well for a couple Europe trips. It holds a water bottle, small umbrella and whatever else I need.

Thanks. I do have a small pacsafe wallet, that I have been carrying around for over 4 years. Perfect for changing into large then small clutches, as I often do., Unlike large bulky wallets. The pacsafe wallet is of course RFID and has a small loop on the zipper so I attach it to my purses leash clip, when I have them available. The size holds US money unfolded and credit cards with another front zip pocket for either change or additional ID cards you carry. Love your reviews.

i once had a travelon bag that i brought with me to puerto rico, mexico, and philippines. once my mom saw my bag, she snagged it from me, and she's still using it time to time. still fully functional and intact. i haven't bought it again though as i'm now preferring something else. i recently bought a Wrangler version of the 2nd bag you reviewed and will be testing it in my upcoming philippine trip. the very main reason i bought it is i can switch out the straps hahahaha. your version comes with a nondetachable strap though. i will be bringing a packable backpack for when i need to carry my laptop with me, and a smaller wallet/purse for fancier nights out

Loved this video!! I looked at a Pacsafe bag and just woshed that the backpack that I loved was a bit bigger. I ebded up going with the Baggallini Modern Excursion bag for my upcoming trip to Disney World and I cant wait to use it. It is the perfect size and it holds a lot without being super heavy. The only thing it needs is a lock like the Travelon bags.

I just got a Travelsmith crossbody from Poshmark. (Yet to be delivered.) I'm hoping it's the right size to carry my phone, chapstick, lipstick, hand sanitizer, kleenex, hotel key of applicable. Then, I can just carry my water bottle. That'll be for quick jaunts or times I'm visiting trusted places. I also have a slingbag for times I'm headed out all day and to public places where I won't want to put anything, like my water bottle or anythingelse that wouldn'tfit in the smaller bag, down. I'm headed to Dublin and Paris for a work trip in November. 😊

From what you talked about you want a backpack you don't want to purse. I don't expect to be able to put an umbrella in my purse or souvenirs in my purse. What you really want is a small backpack.

The umbrella she is referring to is tiny. She has a link to it that I used to purchase it. It went in my smallish purse the whole time we were in Ireland along with my wallet, portable fan, gum, etc with no problem.

Having room for an umbrella & rain jacket is great, but what do you do with them after you don't need them? Putting wet items back in your purse doesn't seem okay.

As somebody from Europe, I’m watching this thinking ‘What do you all carry with you ?’ Most people here carry a small bag ‘purse’ and a canvas tote bag. Why do you want to put the kitchen sink in a cross over ?

I agree, I’m Canadian and really, for every day I only carry my phone in which I can carry a few cards. Finding it a little harder these days as I need reading glasses so have a small purse I carry over my shoulder mainly for the glasses when I go out shopping. Last year in Ireland I used a small waist pouch, it lays quite flat and generally worn under what I’m wearing so not out in the open, I have RFID pouches for cards and passport. I basically tied my packable rain coat onto the strap of my waist pouch/fanny pack. If I was planning on shopping or touring I also had a packable backpack I could take with me or pack with all the extras I’d need for the day. Personally I’m not someone who likes to carry around a large purse.
