i love how your complaint in the gameplay is the first thing that the game taught you in the beginning where certain moves will easily transition to your skill

So, after playing the character trials in the VR missions, you understand a lot more about the game as a whole, one of your complaints is about unresponsiveness with EX skills and I think that’s more down to your personal gameplay You mentioned that you were spamming the attack button which isn’t ideal, it feels clunky and jarring, and it’s also just less effective. Take Anby for example, her whole gimmick, like with Soldier 11, is timing her attacks to deal more damage except instead you’re stopping your basic attacks after N3, waiting for your sword to flash and then you unleash a more powerful attack, if you wait for this sword flash, then use your EX skill, it feels much more responsive and enjoyable, whilst also just being more effective since when used this way, Anby buffs this EX special’s daze by like 50% making her job as a Stun character much more effective

yep that's how it is. i think more of it as some "rhythm" game where certain units have this patterns or flows in which when you do them, they'd feel more fluid as it is with Anby and 11. i really enjoy Anby as a unit because of that haha

@@FriziWoti that is the reason why VR exist. The game can only tell you to use something after a certain action and that's it. Players will be the one experimenting on it to get a feel of it.

I've enjoyed the gameplay of ZZZ and really appreciated the style, but this game more than Genshin or HSR I found myself wishing it was just a regular JRPG that I could play through with all the characters and then complete it in a reasonable number of hours. I'll probably catch up with the main story then drop it for a few months so that I can come back and enjoy the game in episodic chunks without worrying about a daily grind.

The ‘challenge’ mode just gives enemies more hp. It basically nerfs your characters and adds more time to battles

Can confirm... the special attack issue u were having is, in fact, a skill issue. (on a serious note, if you ever want to use the special attack you can just dash out of ur basic combo and click it without needing to wait and there's no problems)

The good thing in this game is you can't use the 3 star weapons on accident, 'cause you need to "disenchant" them into the upgrade material first! With regards to the skills thing you need to know what the character's kit is. For instance with Anby if you use her skill after her third normal attack it will execute it immediately. Not sure if casting it without energy also has an effect on the delay. Honestly the multipliers for when you don't have energy are so low I've never used a regular skill only the EX versions. Also Anomaly only account when :D

To answer your question about Anby's Special: No, it's not delayed when you use it after 3 basic attacks. No i-frame though since it's not EX.

Some characters do have a useful non Ex skill, for example, Anby. The main difference is you aren't invulnerable during it but you would still want to use it to stun the enemy if that's your goal.

6:20 - Good, you do this too. Genshin was my first Hoyo game and at the beginning of my playthrough all the way back in 1.0 I started hanging onto one of each weapon while powering them all up to R5 with a "just in case" mindset, and I'm so glad I did because some of those weapons were exclusive to chests and thus finite. Also it meant I had backup options if I didn't have the ideal weapon. W-Engines don't have this problem as they're nearly all from the gacha but I've still done it for ZZZ.

Played this game at launch, but I didn't really like any of the characters that were available to pull for and the combat felt very flat with the roster of agents I had so I dropped the game. I've just started picking it back up and ascending the world and unlocking Bangboo wishing took forever! I was past level 30 before I ascended my world for the first time, after which I found out you can ascend at like 20 if you actually do side quests and don't just do dailies and log out... >.> But as of now I have like 145 wishes saved up so, hopefully I can find a character I like the gameplay of soon.

ZZZ is more akin to a fighting game like Devil May Cry exact timings in button presses an deliberate moves and combos. Same as in DMC you can spam attacks through and through but you will not look as stylish as someone who knows combos.

You should get a bangboo that fits 2 of the characters on your team. For example: If you're planning on running Soldier 11, and Lucy as a support since she's also Fire, you should get the fire bangboo. If you run Anby and Nicole who are both from the Cunning Hares faction, you should get the Cunning Hares bangboo.

How interesting. 10:00 I've tested this with the currest roster of characters and found that only certain ones change poses when going from Skills to Equipment. Some have four poses while some others only have three. I'm not entirely sure what the requirements for having a different number of poses are. I, too, am very confused. Honestly, I was only really interested in playing ZZZ after watching your video on the closed beta, so I'm glad I'm able to have fun with it. Definitely understandable why you wouldn't want to really create another content focused account considering all the gacha games you currently play. ♡

I havent played the game and dont intend too (genshin + hsr is enough gacha games for me, i didnt even keep playing WuWa or Reverse1999 even though i really like them) BUT i think the game design is very cool, it changes a lot from what we got used to see. Hope anyone playing will have fun.

For how to use your EX attack you have to read your instructions for the character. Some make you immune to damage, like Soldier 11's EX but you can press it at any time. Some EX make you immune to damage but also the last combo hit of that character makes you immune to damage, like Jane's - you can only press your EX when you are not in that immunity phase of your last attack. And so on, the EX is part of the gameplay of the character - what you are probably looking for are ultimates - those you can press at any time and they will immediately start.

i've been waiting for ZZZ for YEARS, and honestly..didn't really live up to my expectations. of course, i love every little thing about the game, (even the tvs!) but i just feel burnt out of it already comapred to HSR or GI, even though it's only been out for 20ish days.

The timing issue you're experiencing with the special button is two things. 1) the non-charged up version of most character's skill looks different and might be mistaken for a part of their attack chain which can feel like a missed input, only to try again later once you have energy (the flashing rainbow bar under your health) and get the "real" version when you wanted it. 2) most attack animations, especially if they're long, can't be canceled into your skill. You need to time chaining into it. You can abuse a long animation by swapping into another character and doing something else at the same time instead. Be careful if you dont have invulnerability during that long animation when you swap off though because they will take damage if its not during a dodge 😂

Yeah. He's just used to other games where where mashing basics is just filler in between skill, ult, quick assists etc. when you actually kind of have to take care of when you're basic attacking. There's actual thought that needs to be put into when you use your skill in your basic attack combo.

Honestly, there are a lot of things I love about this game. I love the character designs. I love the music. And I even really like the story for the most part. The gameplay itself is where it loses me. I just cannot get into no matter how hard I try.

I never liked the combat at all, only the day to day life scenes, which looked great. Exploring that way I think would be far better. Games should have a Chill Mode, as many like relaxing games. I like far more (for instance) the first version of Spongebob because we got to explore their home village, but the later version was just manic, frenetic and over active, giving glory to the later designers and departing from the scenes we all loved.

You actually just have to use your normal attack to do the skill, because normal attack gives energy for the skill, when the skill turns colour its most powerfull. But overall you'll mainly be normal attacking until you get to stun the enemy and make a chain attack.

The first limited 5 star sword character on Wuthering Waves is coming out in 2 days, are you going to make a WuWa swords only video then? Also if you haven’t used your free standard banner 5 star character voucher yet then you should use it. I know you can’t use the character since there are no sword standard banner 5 stars, but it will give you 15 Afterglow Corals, which you can use to get almost 2 more pulls.

This is definitely a controller game. As a side effect, while I can play it on my phone more smoothly than my PC, I don't like the way the buttons pop up and interrupt the standard button flow. Like, what if I want to use a more normal attack before using an assist? My fingers are too fat, and I'm too slow NOT to press a popped assist button, and then I'm wondering what happened. There's also no feedback using screen controls. I wonder, should I get a controller that just goes with phones?

So, last year I tried Hi3. Got a decent length into it, tried a lot, but just wasn't into it. This game feels like a simplified Hi3, but messy. The game kinda gives me a headache with how busy it is. And none of the characters are really pulling me in, tbh. It's not a bad game, but if i wanted to play something like it I'd go back to Hi3.

I'm so interested in characters and the world of zzz but the game is so overwhelming for me😢 ui has so many vibrant colours, everything is named something crazy, the combat seems easy at first but you really need to dive in and read what skills do to understand it. that was kinda tiring and now i don't even play it. it's a really pretty and well optimised game tho

For real, the messiness is just too much. I do like having a lot of color on my screen (one of my go to teams in genshin is hyperbloom, I literally can't see what's happening sometimes), but that only happens when I choose to play with that team. The rest of the experience is really organized and calm visually. But in zzz everything is equally intense in detail and color, all the menus are a mushroom trip with a dark background and I don't know where to look or click. There are false buttons and it is difficult to distinguish them from the real ones. I don't understand what does what because there is not enough text, and the times there is it's only text, text and more text with almost no images to illustrate what the text is talking about. Also a lot of the materials and wishing currencies are really similar, everything is something sorta mechanic with silver, a lot of small details and some vibrant color. All of them have the same design formula and honestly, I can't really differentiate them, plus a lot of the times the names don't help at all. A video game where the visuals are sometimes really good but the rest of the time are just tiring to look at and not helpful (because you are constantly looking for a text or a name somewhere to be able to identify what you are looking at) is just not well designed. It feels like they were trying to make it look cool and futuristic but forgot about the fact that it's a game and people need to be able to navigate it with ease.
