I currently charge $7.99 for the book. for every sale i make amazon pays me 60% royalty and keeps 40%. then on top, they charge me about $2.48 for printing, packing and shipping cost. At the end i make only $1.95 per book i sell. so the $47 dollars i made is from roughly 24 units at the time. Also something to note, if some of the sales comes from a different country, depending on the exchange rate, the royalty one makes, might be higher. I hope this explanation helps.

Noted!. For the Ads, i am currently testing it for a space of 3 months. trying to find what strategy works best. I will say have a time frame, then keep an eye on it, and switch off any ad that is making you lose alot of money and keep fine tuning it.

It is a page, where you mention information you want the buyer to know. Example, you have to tell the buyer to make sure to insert a paper behind each coloring page, while coloring to avoid color bleed into another page that is yet to be worked on

But you understand you must do something to show your book to customers? 😏 How you want them to buy your book if you won't advertise it to anyone? You can use Amazon ads, if you have YT channel with lot of subscribers you can advertise it there. Same with any blog or website where you have subscribers or followers. You want just easy effect. Make book with AI do it in few hours, then upload it, forget about it and count money. Business doesn't work like that. With attitude like that you won't be successful with any kind of business. 🤦

People have fallen for a lazy definition of "passive income"! It's simply dead if you don't do the marketing and that can be done initially by telling the people that you already know! Once your own marketing efforts begin to generate organic traffic and if a book in a niche where there is lots of interest but little competition is published, then and only then will it start generating money while you sleep because Amazon will put it in front of people with an interest. Even then, some Amazon, Google, FaceBook ads may be required. No. There is nothing passive about passive income initially!

@@thezinnystudio but you know about the "honeymoon" time a new book gets when its published? The first 3-4 Weeks the book is listed higher even when the book did not sell or sells not good. Most books fall in ranking after the honeymoon.. So the first 2-3 Weeks are not the "real" number of books you sold. Its pushed from amazon. Interessing is the time after the honeymoon... one to two months after releasing it.

Normally when people color on one page, it bleeds out at the back. You don't want the bleed messing up the next image that needs to be colored. That's the essence of the blank page. Even with the blank page, you will still need to ask the buyers to put a paper behind the blank while coloring. Orelse they will write review complaining about your book for no reason.

When you have done your research properly, is very possible. Alot of people create low quality books and dump on Amazon expecting a magic to happen. In my case, maybe a bit of luck and it was also amazon prime week, so I don't know if that helped. But I tried as much a possible to make sure I did what I can from my end.

@@lisa-linb2788 in the first 3 weeks the book gets pushed from amazon even if it does not sell good. Its called "Honeymoon-phase". After 3 weeks (latest 4 weeks) this is over. Its much easier to sell books in the first 2-3 weeks then after this timeframe. You need to use Ads or you book will fall in ranking if it is not very very good and does not have any reviews.
