Origami is very methodical, and typically once you learn some of the more standard folds, connecting them makes more sense. Strongest recommendation: get origami paper. It's typically super thin which makes making tiny little folds easier. It's also already square (saves you a step) and typically they have some cool patterns :)

Would you try working with seed beads? Make a wrist band with your logo or logo colors on it! For patterning, I personally use BeadTool since you can import and trace your logo. You can freehand too!

The basic frog is fun because you can push down on the back and make them hop. I made a Christmas tree once and used stickers to add “ornaments”- my dolls had a Christmas tree that year! The way to double check if your paper is square is to do 2 diagonal folds, making an X, then remove the one side like you did. Paper snowflakes also work best when you start with a square, though it’s not as necessary as origami.

I love seeing people try new things because it helps me to remember that no one picks up a new hobby/skill and is immediately a master at it. As an impatient perfectionist (ahh, AuDHD) its a reminder I need annoyingly often 😅 That said, dang that bunny was so cool!!

Wow, that’s amazing! I always found Origami to be intimidating, and had the crazy thought that there had to be magic or something involved to go from a piece of a paper to a swan or something. 😂 I am going to take one of those classes, because I want my bag!

Wood burning/Pyrography would be interesting or perhaps some stonecarving. There is also a technique that uses shaving cream and ecoline that can yeald beatiful results that are great as a background or pattern. I love seeing people try creative techniques for the first time. I often hesitate to start something new and it's very relatable to watch you struggle and motivating to see you persevere and ultimately succeed. It's a real shame Skillshare doesn't support Ideal or Meastro payment. I would have subscribed years ago if they had.. Do you know of any other such learning platforms for about the same price?

I love how your rabbit turned out. It reminds of when my brother did an assignment. he drew the steps for origami using a playing card turned into a seal. It would have worked except to draw it he had to add a piece or fold that didn't exist so his teacher gave him a B. They make origami paper in those square shapes already. I used to make rings out of dollar bills. I loved origami. Now the only thing i remember how to fold is a fortune teller. I may need skillshare to refresh my memory.

Origami. Now there's a name I've not heard in a long time. I tried when I was a kid and it was fun. Never was good at it, but it was still fun. We had a smooth paper that was white on one side and a solid color on the other. Now I am going to see if I can find that box of crafting supplies.

13:54 watching you learn a new skill is just so cute man, well just some things id like to tell, real origami does not include use of any kind of scissors, glue or anything else, it is just your hands a sheet of paper, you dont have to make square out of a4 paper, there are dedicated origami sheets in the market, anyways loving the video so far
