Okay just got done watching your video and I have several things to say. I actually took notes. So first I will just use the tldr just in case anyone is coming here for my thoughts just simply summarized. If you truly want self-defense and you truly want a self-defense weapon you need a gun or pepper spray those are honestly your best options a knife and not a folding knife but an actual fixed blade knife with a blade length of 7 inches or longer is a close third option. And the last legitimate option and the most impractical would be a non-expanding 2 ft long solid wooden baton. Not getting into legality and all that stuff but those are the weapons that honestly are the best for self-defense knife probably not going to be legal everywhere neither is gun the baton possibly could be legal more places but is very impractical but honestly pepper spray is going to be your best bet. And it also needs you requirements at under or around $20. So to start off with I love your video quality. Way better than other channels of your size. Also I love the doggies. You should try doing some comedy self-defense videos with them. I think that might give you a lot of views. Or honestly maybe even look into some dog self-defense stuff. I know they make pepper spray specifically formulated for dogs. But also you know maybe some vests or something for dogs that could be another video that might be a good idea. I'm thinking like reflective vests. Now on to what you talked about in the video. First up you said asymmetrical self-defense which is really weird and in my mind not very good possibly even illegal. I am not a lawyer so I'm not giving legal advice but everything I have read on the internet says you can only use the defense necessary to protect yourself. The classic example is if someone is unarmed and is beating you up and you pull out a knife that could be seen as a crime manslaughter murder or whatever. And kind of in your video you're saying you need a weapon when the other person is on armed at least that's what I got from that whole asymmetrical self-defense thing. That dart shooter is a joke I mean I would honestly be willing to be shot in the arm or the leg or something by that. Maybe I might want to try it wearing some jeans or something but it doesn't look like it's going to do much damage. Back when I was a kid I had a cheap Out The Front Knife and I would take it and put my hand in front of it and flick it out and it wouldn't really do much. The spring was way too weak and I'm assuming this spring is weak on these after seeing what it did to that little pad. Now maybe it's stronger maybe if I see it in person I wouldn't want to get shot with it but from your video I'm like yeah I'd get shot with it. Also you say you're surprised you can legally buy that dart gun but actual guns exist that are much more deadly. I've never seen a kubaton not saying it couldn't do it but I've never seen it advertised to be able to rip flesh. A kubaton was invented by Sōke Takayuki Kubota after he tried to come up with some ideas for police officer women to use pens as a compliance weapon. It isn't really for self-defense. Basically a police officer would take the kubaton and if a suspect is not wanting to be put in handcuffs and the suspect has their arms and legs crossed and they are unwilling to go into handcuffs voluntarily the police officer takes a Kubaton or similar object flashlight or what not and pushes it into a pressure point to get the person to take their arms from their crossed position and put them behind their back to the handcuffed. That is what it was invented for that is what it is intended for. I have tried the technique where you put the personal alarm next to your ear I had someone else do that and I was able to punch them. We were testing that weapon and I was able to punch them and it's like it didn't stop me yes I want to get it away from my ear so I punched them. Also with the personal alarms do they honestly work I would love to actually see some police reports where they actually worked because in my mind it's like the car alarm what's the first thing you think when a car alarm goes off. It's why isn't someone turning that damn alarm off because I'm certainly not thinking oh someone's stealing a car. Your little key pseudo push dagger thing an actual push dagger works much better or a knife. So that little device you put on your shoes to help your kicks you know I would love to see how much more that helps your kicks than a regular kick? I'm going to assume it's similar to the fist versions and it only helps it a little bit and you have to kick a differently or punch differently with the fist ones and you're basically wasting your own energy to do that when you could be kicking or punching better and correctly and they can't stop you from taking shoes or your fists into a building. Also I'm kind of wondering what about steel toed shoes? I honestly don't know I mean I think you could wear those into a courthouse or something but I'm honestly not certain. But that would work a lot better than those from what I can see. And your stun gun pain pen thing yeah that does not work. If someone used that on me I would back away and punch them. It's not going to incapacitate me like an actual police taser. And you can withstand those. I have put a stun gun on my wrist where I have build up doing iron body type stuff in that area and I'm not affected by the stun gun. Also it does not have 25 million volts. Probably closer to 30,000 or maybe 60,000 volts at most something like that. Electricity going through air only Sparks at a maximum of 30,000 volts per centimeter. Also volts aren't even what you really want. There's a video by torque test Channel on KZbin on them testing stun guns and they go into detail about volts and stuff like that and they test how actually powerful the stun guns are and none of them it even close to 1 million it's more like around 100,000 I think is the most volts or something.

Well since i live in europe with so many stupid laws most of the stuff here is banned, however i usually have with me an olight warrior mini 2 which we ofcourse cant say is for self defense but its nice to see well when its dark right, its expensive but im thinking since it blinds too it has an edge over for example a cheap tactical pen (like the uzi-pens from china) which im yet to hear anyone arrested for carrying since its a pen here, but the flashlight is probably easier to stop from sliding in your hand with the thumb where as a cheap uzi tactical pen is pointy in both ends so you need to grip around it. The uzi pen being more pointy though and easier to cause pain by just pressuring into your attacker. Idk what you think about that, it would make for an interesting video! Tactical flashlight vs tactical pen!

Three weeks ago in my country. Two butchers got in a fight. One knew wrestling. He got an inside tie and just stabbed the other guy to death. Combat skills when combined with melee weapons turns in a whole another thing
