What vr is the best immense for 2023 for watching movies and instagram do tell!
@paulct912 жыл бұрын
It was only briefly mentioned, Half-Dive VR by the Contact Glove people, it never released but, I liked its potential the most! If used in a laying down position then headset size wouldn't really matter anyways, which seems like a major plus... but, it then can take up too much space since you are lying down...

I am curious. While I am a fan of things getting smaller, I am wondering why no one has tried marketing a full on helmet style for VR. The weight distribution would be a breeze as it would sit on and wrap around the entire head. Hardware placement could go anywhere inside the helmet. The visual component could have a foldup or away option. The helmet would also give a nice separation from the real world allowing for full emersion. And the audio could be incredible. The outside of the helmet could be marketed in any number of styles, Power Rangers for the younger crowd, Star Wars, Tron, flight helmet, etc.

Really good idea. Not like a motorcycle one, new materials light with a system for renew the air inside with cold one. You can have rumble like psvr2 around the head. You can put inside a system for smells. Much more easy to do.
@heyjeySigma2 жыл бұрын
damn...amazing idea.. never thought of that. i hate how current HMDs put so much pressure over ur forehead or eye area and can give a headache, so a helmet style putting more weight on the TOP of the head isnt bad..

I think most people don’t want to wear a helmet for extended periods
@ygrittesnow17012 жыл бұрын
@@afoxdesign Until they perfect micro technologies we are going to be limited to the current VR configurations. That means having a bulky device sitting over the eyes and likely a pair of headphones for audio emersion. My suggestion simply makes it a much more comfortable option using existing tech in a better form. A person could put on what looks like a top gun helmet, or a storm trooper helmet or the like. You are right it probably wouldn't be for everyone.

I am an architect and I can't wait to have a good AR device. Focus on form factor and ease to use. The goal is to have an AR device shaped like a normal pair of glasses, as transparent as possible, with ambient tracking. I can clearly see doing meetings with clients/designers/engineers all around the world, discussing the same drawings on the table with virtual 3d model risings from it. Like a zoom call on steroids. Can't wait!

Those AR glasses look promising, interested in the gloves and scent producing thing too. Think the electrode-stimulation suit could be a lot better, make use of many more smaller electrode points and it should be able to produce much more complex effects than just pain. Everything we feel is an impulse electrically conducted by our nervous system. Smaller electrodes in dispersed arrays over the entirety of the outfit. Obviously it also needs to be cleanable, which is apparently a problem with the current version?

What would be cool is a pair of shades where you can clearly see real world but also can use your finger to draw anywhere on walls, in the air on the ground and anyone else who has a pair can see what you drew where you drew it at in the real world this would be really cool.
@fullerexplanations78722 жыл бұрын
Middle-aged guys like me and cinephiles of sci-fi will remember the movie featuring Christopher Walken in 1983's BRAINSTORM. It is a movie about a technology very similar to virtual reality in many ways but it goes beyond it because this allows for people's experiences to be recorded by the device which record: sight, sound, and emotion and thoughts etc. There is a scene in which the device starts out bulky AF and over time gets smaller and smaller to the point of near sunglasses. That reminds me so much like demos like your video and others showing the evolution of VR technology! And with BMI Brian to machine interfacing technology development such as Elon Musk's NeuraLink for example combined with VR the movie Brianstorm can actually become a reality! And some of that might be scary for some folks of course. But every great society changing invention has risks and dangers. Cars, planes, trains but without them we would have to walk and ride a horse more often LOL

Great experimental hardware coverage. It seems the thing holding us back is content. I would like to see a video about VR game engines of the future. Will Unreal 5 or Source 2 VR games be a thing? Will the PSVR2 compatibility options for RE8 be like vorpX or something else completely? What's on the roadmap for 3d video creation programms? Is google lightfield still a thing and is there something special about how they made the AmazeVR Megan Thee Stallion video? Metahumans vs Codec avatars and their respective projected system requirements. What's the state of a decent multithreaded physics engine? What's the state of Valve investing into software for VR?

I'm surprised you're making specific videos for the PSVR2 and the Vive but not the Pimax Crystal? I think that's probably the headset most people are interested in from a PC standpoint considering the incredibly high PPD, FOV and colors that no other headset has, including the Aero. Did you try the base station faceplate? It seems like people want to dismiss pimax from past experiences rather than promote them for their recent successes. I'm actually really looking forward to it, it sounds amazing.
@CasandChary2 жыл бұрын
I will but I want to wait until they have more features or even all of them to demo for me. Not just one small feature of the headset. Does that make sense? Or would you rather see a video per feature? Genuinely curious. I did try the faceplate and talk a bit more about it more in my VR headsets comparison: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGHddoJoo6uZeLM

It would be interesting to see if HTC could position the new headset as a Quest Pro alternative and actually try to offer compatibility with the Meta's Quest software. I suppose it would require cooperation from Meta and there are competing legal tensions (antitrust vs. IP rights) but it seems like that headset might be a viable high-end option if it could offer compatibility.
@dtrjones2 жыл бұрын
I think from the journalists I've seen coment on this that it is recognised as a Meta Quest Pro alternative. There's absolutely no chance Meta will share stores with HTC, what were you thinking! 😀 Looks a nice device but as you have alluded to, the content store remains an issue. Now if it could be compatible with Side Quest which I believe Pico 4 is, that would be a start.
