The iPhone 16 series just dropped. If we focus on the phone as a whole, you’ll hear many of the same things you do every year. The screen is nice, the speakers are good, using it it’s smooth and the camera takes great photos, here’s 100 different reasons why the 16 is marginally better than the 15 and there are tons of videos comparing all of that stuff already, and gets into that niche nitty gritty details instead I want to focus on the new features for this year’s model, and my experience with those features to see if it’s worth it as an upgrade for you. I recently bought the 16 over the 16 pro , coming from the 15pro , and I can honestly say I don’t miss the 120hz screen , and I think this is because the one thing that Apple I’ve always done is actually made that 60 screens seems smoother than any other android 60 Hz screens, for me over the years that’s always been very noticeable, and I have to say this iPhone 16 is actually an absolute beast, so I’m very happy😊

I have the iPhone 16 plus in black with 256gb. This iPhone is more than enough pro to me. And the 60 hrz refresh rate doesn’t bother me at all it’s an amazing phone I’m an apple guy.

The jelly screen "not bothering you" is the same thing I tell my sober friends after having too many at the bar and driving home. You can drive this way. Sure your vision is a bit blurry, but its mind over matter. You just gotta focus on something thats important in your life like a spouse, kids, a hobby, maybe a memorable vacation and then voila things become clear!!!!! Just do that mind trick on yourself and the blurry vision isnt as noticeable when you drive home after tying one off at the local pub. Same concept applies to the 60hz jelly screens.

I currently have a 12 Pro max, that was a work phone and I kept it when I changed jobs. It’s too big for me, so I’m giving it to my hubby, as he prefers a larger phone. So I have to choose between the 16 and 16 Pro, I’m still undecided.

@@arisk2410 i have an iphone 8, i wouldnt recommend the max due to the size difference, going from a 4.7 to a 6.9 inch screen is a massive difference, it will feel like your using a tablet. the 16 pro is better, it has a 6.3 inch screen so it will be easier to get used to.

iPhone 16 and IPhone 16 plus did have 120 hz it will cut into pro models sales and use iPhones sales are up and iPhone SE4 do come out it will cut into iPhone 14 and IPhone 14 plus and IPhone 15 and iPhone 15 plus sales

Currently using an iPhone X and looking to upgrade soon. My battery life is terrible and I’m stuck on ios 16. I’m debating getting a 256gb 16, 16 plus or 16 pro (non max to clarify). I’m leaning towards the pro due to ProMotion. I’ve gotten so used to 120hz on my iPad pro that 60hz feels kind of slow. The problem is that the pro is quite expensive and I feel as though I probably won’t make use of the pro features. What I like about the 16 plus is the better battery life and the lower cost compared to the pro. Unfortunately though, the phone is a bit big and I’m concerned it would feel like a brick in my pockets. Now for the 16, the lower cost and smaller size are nice, but I think I would prefer to get either the bigger battery of the plus (even though I’m unsure about the size) or ProMotion on the Pro. This decision should not be this difficult yet it somehow is. If the base models had even 90hz I’d instantly go for them and not the pro.

One thing about the size and weight for you: 16+ and Pro are the exact same weight, so feel free to get the plus! I think it will be comfortable, just get used to the size/usage!

Iphone16 pro's so-called 5x optical zoom actually crops the pic untill 5x. At that point the 5x tele kicks in. It crops in way too much between 1-5X. It would be nice to add a 3X lens in between. That way the zoom-in pic would have better picture quality consistency for 3-5x.

A zipper on my bag failed while I was riding with my bike, my iPhone 13 Pro escaped my bag, I tracked it and found it on the busy highway, but it was evident 20 or more cars drove over it. Now I'm in for a new one, the 15 Pro on Sale, or should I cripple my finances for the 16 Pro, maybe it's worth it considering the battery and operation temperature improvement. The AI features to come, I have mixed feelings about that.

I went with the pro simply because of the 60hz, battery, and camera since I travel a lot and like to take a lot of photos. The 5x zoom is sweet because the zoomed photos are actually usable now.. and the wide lens bump from 12mp to 48mp is an absolute no brainer to me. You also get a slightly larger screen and faster processing chip which in all honesty is not something you’ll notice. This video breaks it down very well. I would go pro if you think you’re going to have it for 2-3 years and 16 if you’re planning on upgrading sooner.

Battery is almost exactly the same. Main diff is camera (if you take a lot of photos, especially nature, just go with the better camera) and faster/smoother (120 hz).

I have been thinking about upgrading my phone. I don’t upgrade my tech too often because I really, really take care of it since it is all so expensive. When iPhones hit the market, my first one was an iPhone 3G. I used that until the 6 came out and upgraded then (I could hardly type on my phone in text messages anymore because it was so laggy). Then I kept the 6 until the X came out and that’s what I’m still using. It is no longer being updated by Apple and it is starting to show its age in places, like when I’m out and about and not in wifi and need to do an internet search on something and it just won’t do it. I’m sure my apps will start dying off soon, which is what happened to my old iPad (I used my first iPad for 10 years before upgrading to an 11…like I said: I keep my tech for a long time. I only upgraded the iPad because it was a useless brick to me by the time I upgraded it).
