With straight hair, velcro bits work just like a regular brush. "Hold" is usually the problem, not getting tools out of your hair.

@@kin2naruto same. Actually, even with the Velcro it would still probably slip out of my hair 😒

It’s actually on a few hair products, like Velcro rollers, although they’re absolutely useless if your hair is any longer than 3 inches as it’ll hold onto hair directly on the Velcro but not any subsequent layers (if you know what I mean, I’m not doing a good job explaining). I have straight hair and Velcro doesn’t do any damage to my type of hair, and it doesn’t grip onto it like it did on vivs hair. I guess just like everything else, it’s made for straight hair.

"Hair breakage tool"--ouch! But very accurate. The advice for how to add volume without damage is on point. You being willing to experiment with a bunch of different things is always interesting, and I love the added advice along the way and how amazing your hair ends up looking no matter of what. I admire that level of talent and love watching you

Lol that patch is not for our hair. Their (Asians) hair is quite thin so it doesn't grip on the velco. I've seen alot of my students wear something similar to the sponge volumizing tool.

I have 3b curls with a coarse texture and those velcro tools are a bloody nightmare to remove. My sister has no issue with them with her 2A hair. Those things were not designed for curly hair, only straight or light wave. I cannot imagine what hell it was for you to remove it, knowing what it is like for me with similar things.
