This also helped me with my PMVACS (post-Marla video add to cart syndrome) Ha ha! I have two of their kits and some colors are not as opaque as others. The liquids are horrible and couldn’t get the activator to work. I still use the powders but with the azure liquids and they come out great. Your mani looked fantastic though!!

I purchased just the liquids when I first started and used them with the cuccio dip powders and had good luck on the first 3 manicures. It was my first time with dip powders and learned it was the liquids and not the powders. I still use the set of cuccio powders with the Modelones and have excellent results. Even with using the brush saver the liquids dried up quickly so threw away. I seem to have good luck with any powders as long as I use Modelones liquids.

I too bought the Saviland kit with beautiful color powders, it actually worked pretty well, my 1st try with dip nails, I ordered just the liquids and it would not cure, it was like gum, I tried more than once thinking it was user error. I also did a review on Amazon which they would not accept, not sure why, I was not rude at all, it was a pretty nice review saying I liked the 1st one so much that I ordered again but was disappointed that the 2nd one I ordered did not workout. Thank you Marla Kris for sharing all of your experiences with us, so not only do we not waste our money but saves us a lot of frustration. You are great at what you do! So strange I just bought this exact kit but in rainbow colors. I have a green and sparkle purple on my fingers and had zero issues while applying. I did not use their dip liquid tho I used beetle dip liquids. I am on over a week with them and they still look good. But everyone has different experiences! lol

I could definitely see your frustration! If you were having such a problem I can't even imagine what it would be for a newbie like myself! Fortunately my experience stated with Double Dip but I also have Beetles, Azzure, and Revel. However, you did a wonderful job with the mess you had to work with.

I have just the saviland base and top coat and activator that I bought because I ran out of another brand but I think they work really well, had no problems at all with the activator like others mentioned. I haven’t tried the dip powders but I think the application is the most important part of the process.

I have one of the Saviland kits. I bought it September 1, 2023. Only used it once because I needed to fix two nails. The top coat & brush saver clear bottle dip liquids have turned yellow. Just wondering is it still safe to use? The dip kit itself, needs a lot of work. The white powder is like you said. However, I think it could have just been me & my inexperience with dip. I didn't have the proper tools.

I'm so glad you did a review on this. I have this kit and I thought it was good, but.... It's the first dip powder I ever used so I just thought it was supposed to be that way. I will have to try something else because I also noticed that it took a lot of dips to get the color. And when I filed some of the color came off ( and yes I encapsulated with clear). I just thought maybe I didn't know what I was doing, lol. But I'm so glad that it wasn't just me. I have watched a ton of videos before I attempted to do dip so I had an idea of what to do, but I just couldn't get the results that you do. Good to know that the dip was to blame. Will never order saviland again.

I feel this way with the beetles I bought from Amazon. I use like 5 dips and lots of activator bc it chips. I was always fascinated that you get away with only two dip layers. How do you identify quality products?

What I’ve learned about a lot of the brands on amazon is they’re THIN. Usually you’ll need an extra dip for strength. So for me, quality product applies pigmented, even across the nail, has a soft and fluffy consistency, cures properly and removes well. I find this quality most in the smaller indie brands. I like to believe they care more about the client. But I did recently play with dips from Makartt and Gelish (you’ll see coming up in Sept) and they were fantastic!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has issues with Beetles! I've also had the same thing happen with the Azure Beauty powders too! Everyone recommends them, and I guess they fine for beginners because they're so cheap, but it does feel like a waste that they chip and crack after just a few days. Even like you said with 5 coats! And you need that many too because otherwise the color is still not opaque!!

I do wonder if it's mostly to do with the quality of the liquids though. If the liquid is thin, the layers will be thin, right? And if the liquid is poor quality, you get the drying issues that Marla was showing. So I wonder if it's not the powders at all 🤔

That's so funny LOL my mom told me specifically not to get this brand because of how crappy it was.. and as far as the Kiss set goes, remember I questioned if I needed to apply the applicator between layers? It turns out that indeed I did need to do that very thing. It might be the same for this particular brand as well which I guess isn't a big deal other than you're going to go through way more liquid when doing multiple layers

I have not tried the kits but I purchased some of their neon glow dips and they were vibrant and opaque. I used my Sparkle&Co liquids so I think that’s why the dips themselves did work for me. I think some of these brands (Amazon kits) are hit or miss. And even though this was a bad kit you still made it work!

I just tried this kit but I used the purple colors and did the gel method over jelly tips and peel base. The glitter was just okay to me, but I had a good experience with the purple solid colors. I have not tried any of the other colors, but I did notice upon swatching the white I could not get a good swatch at all. FYI head over to Rossi to see how much they are selling this kit for it will blow your mind. 💗

I hoped this vid wasn’t about the brand I purchased!😩🤦🏾‍♀️ I got two Saviland kits(Magic forest and Maple forest) about a week ago. I’m truck driver, so I had to wait till I was on hometime try them out. The powders from the Magic forests took several layers to look decent, but the Maple powders seemed more pigmented. I’m a newbie to dip powder, and immediately contaminated the top coat liquid while making swatches.😂 I’ve done my nails twice, actually I used the Maple powders to cover the first set done with the Magic forest powders because the colors looked so dull. Overall, I love the Maple set, but liquids are kinda trash. The activator didn’t work well, my nails were gummy for a while. I thought it may have been “user error” but I got a Kiss dip liquid kit from Target that worked way better. Thank you for the review, and all your nail videos! They’ve been so helpful.

Oh, man. The Saviland gels in the giant pots are great! Not the ones in the nail polish bottles (those take over two minutes to cure), but the 2+ ounce ones in the black jars. I have the hard clear builder and top and love both. They are cheap and cure well. Edit: they are 3.5 ounces!

@@MarlaKris I just checked and the prices are significantly lower than when I bought them just a little while ago. The top coat is $13 for 3.5 ounces and it’s thin enough to refill an old top coat bottle if you have tiny funnel if you don’t like using a separate brush. The top coat is soakable, so I put another one in my Subscribe & Save for dipping. I’m so much better with gel than with the resins. I just tested the builder in a bottle and both shades cured in 30 seconds. Other reviewers had the same issues I did. The only thing I can think is that it was January when I tried and tested and it wouldn’t cure in under two minutes. I live in the Arctic. Maybe I need to put the bottle in my bra while prep…

Had such high hopes when I first saw the colors. For some reason, every time I was looking for a dip kit, I ALWAYS, avoided this brand. Not sure why. I think it was the fact that it seems like they only get a 4 star rating. I usually try and stick with 4.5.

Marla I hear ya. I recently bought their liquids. No dip. Keep in mind I used the liquids ages ago. But I bought a set last month and the activator did not harden anything!! I complained to the seller and they replied to me with user error. Next day I got a naughty gram from Amazon who I bought it from. Ugh 🥺and they deleted my negative review and said all my reviews were deleted. So apparently you can’t make bad reviews anymore

Are you sure this is not good? So far I think saviland is my fav dip powder brand. I recommend it for sure. I think there are some bias from you actually. BTW, the manufacturer of modelones and saviland are the same, the ingredients are the same, no difference if you really know. They are both from a same factory but different brands lol

I guess rossi is now changing the name of their dip powder to Saviland because when I went to get more it was all labeled as saviland and won't be back in stock on the website until Sept. I haven't tried it under the name saviland but by the looks of it it's just as horrible I eventually thought I was the issue when trying to to dip powder but after seeing this maybe it's just time to invest in a higher quality brand.

To be 100% with you.. longevity is usually dependent on how you prep your nails and not so much the products. With that being said.. I love the Makartt dippies and modelones on amazon or if you wanna try a small shop.. mani boss 💕

Ok..thank you for this..saviland dip powers were one of the first dip products I ever used. I've used other saviland products and never had a problem. I almost gave up on dip before I started watching your videos and started using a different brand of dip powder. Now it's confirmed saviland dip powder is 💩.

The only thing I had an issue with is my top coat brush stiffened up on me but I will use a gel top coat next time anyway. I used your dip video for beginners as my guide and it worked! This brand isn't the bomb and you have to learn the best way to work with it, but it's the best that a lot of people can afford. I was in that boat for a long time, so it felt a little uncomfy hearing the commentary in this video. Yeah, it's not ideal, but you work with what you have. I'm happy to be able to afford better products now, though, for sure.

I've used this brand as well as Beetles, Modelones and AZUREBEAUTY, but I've had the best experience with SAVILAND because I've personally used every single one of their products and the quality and colors are impeccable. I love their brand so much because their set colors always give me the biggest surprise. Stop spreading such untrue rumors, your video is garbage in my opinion. But I also love Beetles their products just as much, in terms of performance is also very good for me.
