Sad that the box arrived in that condition, luckily the paints where in good condition! I really like that pastel look of your painting! 😍 I almost run out of that paint. It’s idd really nice gouache paint! I also have the mint palette, and going to use this again but with other paints. Maybe in the future I’ll buy a second set, but first I made the commitment of using every other gouache I have!

I just love how you let everything go with the flow while painting without pressuring yourself to replicate exactly what you see in the reference. Your videos inspire me to stop thinking about making it perfect rather just enjoying the process. I think I watched this before, but from your description of the paint, it is probably acrylic gauche because actual gauche is easier to activate the layers below. That is why gauche can be harder to paint how you want something to come out. However real gauche is so cool because of its activation ability.

Thats the same one I got for my Birthday! I love them I cant stop using them. They also last so long. I am in love. I also want to tell you about the aquash paintbrush which you fill with water and you can control how much water you use in your paint and you dont even have to worry about cleaning it because you can drip water when your done with that color and just dry and move on. Its so much faster.

I’ve seen a few other artists test out this gouache, but I have to say I think you brought out the very best of the paint with such a pretty subject matter. This set is right around $20 (give or take a buck or two, depending on the day) on Amazon, but you might also want to check out the Artxx sets as well because they have a "regular" set and a pastel set too. If you get the HEMI, I recommend the 18 color set because you get more white. The original 24 set is SUPER HEAVY and unwieldy. The new 24 set is around $30, the paint cups are the regular 30ml, comes with a pallet, and a place to put a brush or two, but still only one white.

I love Himi Gouache. I can't believe you got a faulty palette. Items in shipping lately has suffered more I think.(completely understandable) At least the paint stays wet in the palette. Mine was so easy to open but mine wasn't explosive. It also sat for a month before I got to it. Your painting turned out so stunning. The colors have beautiful gradients.
