Depending on location really, in my country very tall walls are really popular cuz the buildings ale old. I am a student, i rarely have money for the whole month and I have walls so tall that I would need a very tall ladder to change the light bulb

Tall Walls in apartments are very common in Germany (Europe in General I think) because old apartments were just all built like that like a lot of apartments (cheap or expensive) I’ve been to have super tall walls

They are indeed a little broken and some things take a lot of fixing to make them work. It shouldn't take me half an hour to fix the whole house, because every time I make a new room the platforms go up by themselves. And the platforms indoors should NOT affect the ones outdoors. Man. I got so stressed yesterday. lol

I think she should do a house where what ever number you get in the random number generator is how many items you can have in the room. Like for the bathroom, if you get the number 5 then thats how many items you can put in the bathroom. Does that make sense?

Yep, platforms are super glitchy as soon as you try to experiment with them. I tried to create a theatre with rounded platforms and ended up giving up due to glitches. I hope they fix them a bit soon :(

1:41 I was wondering about this! Because when you build on normal lots and put a platform inside an existing room you need to redraw the walls, so I was worried you couldn't use them in flats or couldn't draw them all the way to the outside walls, but this is soooo helpful and you can just make a small square genkan area at the front door!

Kayla, build an apartment complex from scratch! Like each floor has a separate “apartment” and there’s a hallway with stairs to the separate levels. Could use a roommate system for every apartment has a “family” living in it. Some more info; -could be a revival of Let’s Builds -public outdoor spaces like small playground or community garden -large lot (50x50?? Lots of landscaping and outdoor space) This way you could design your own perfect apartment complex and use it as a rental lot, let your sims stay there on vacation or something maybe? The cat using the cat bed by tricking them is such a mood. I bought my cat a burrow because she likes to go under the covers. She just sleeps on top of it but only when it's in ideal locations - ie sunlit and near me and when she feels like it. It makes me so happy when she does that I always take a bunch of pictures to send people... :D

I had the exact same problem with the rooms not wanting to be built on top of the platform. The way I worked around it was to build each room first and then put the platforms in the rooms. You just need to make sure all the individual platforms are the same height if you want it to look like one level.

I was building on regular lots for a while last night and having these same issues with walls and platforms. Roofing was also not working properly and kept leaving gaps between the top of the wall and roofing. So frustrating. :( Side note though, love the layout of this apartment and that you're going out of your comfort zone a little with different colors. The last two builds have really been more my style. 😊

i haven't tried it yet but i really want to make a korean style apartment. i think it is the same in other asian countries, but i'm just going off of how my apartment is; the entryway is on a different level from the rest of the apartment. when you first walk in, you take off your shoes and put them in the cupboard, put on some slippers, and then step up to the rest of the apartment/house. i think it would be a really cool idea.

Glad I'm not the only one that has a bit of trouble with the platforms. Put a rounded corner platform in a room and there's small triangles of empty foundation, the final wall issue of not being able to complete or it just completely removes the platform, and diagonal platforms but can't do diagonal stairs...

I've been playing around the with apartments and platforms and all that jazz, I keep getting similar glitches to the ones you have (Even though I'm on Xbox). I couldn't delete a wall that I placed, the platforms removing the entire outside wallpaper, it moved the entire playable area a square to the left and I couldn't ever fix it, you couldn't place a wall in a place that was perfectly able to. With the outside wallpaper, just find the wallpaper that matched the outside and change it.

I have an idea of what you could of done with the platform. So basically you could have made a bedroom on the platform. So if you wanted to do that, you could put a bed on the platform and maybe put like a railing( idk if i’m saying that right) and you could decorate it. Basically have an open apartment. Like this if you agree, and if she should do an apartment like that.
