The fire does not look remotely convincing, but everything else is absolutely photo-real.

@@13th_Shots I'd say the main thing about the fire is it's not affected by the depth of field. It looks way to sharp for the distance we see it in. Overall, this is a good scene! Keep it up !
@fernando7498452 жыл бұрын
Of course it's photo-real, they're super high detail scans, made by people who ACTUALLY have a talent.

The color of the flame is perfect. The color of the light reflecting inside the cave feels incorrect. The color of the light reflecting inside the cave is currently much too reddish in color and needs to be more orange in color. Inside the cave, the Shadows Need to Stretch and Contract to depict a reciprocation with the flickering of the flame.

The best part for me was the cave fire with what sounded like acoustic reflection inside the cave/overhang of the fire 🔥 👏🏻👏🏻

Lumen is truly ground breaking. Unreal guys are just...unreal! The color reflection sometimes needs to be toned down and there is lots of work to get the right mixture of colors that object reflects, but....here we are. The real next gen gfx.

It looks amazing. My only worry is that that any weird looking rocks should be rotated around itself at least as your own eye can easily identify which objects were put more than once onscreen.

At this point the only thing that makes the shot feel fake is the camera movement. They are not bad, but not realistic enough to feel like if someone was filming there. Great job!!

UE5 is going to get a serious edge of boost by it's tech power, visuals, the life-like animations, the tools for masters.... the capability! It's I think might be real Unity killer where Unity can't do anything. I'm myself now Unity to Unreal Engine developer. Cause I get anything from this engine to make AAA games, graphics, tools, you know it. Bravo UE5, you've called people like me to UE community....!

Amazing! What are your render settings? Did you use the Movie Render Queue? What console variables did you use? I am rendering a project in 5K but honestly I just need more detail, thinking about using Screen Percentage Console Variable and cranking it up when rendering in 4K. Was UE5 easy to use? Any weird flickering issues?

@@razzor4708 You can still do it on a 970, the only thing a 3070 does is render faster(a whole lot faster). I regret dropping $800 for a 3060 , the only thing it has done is render faster, which I did need but CPU power is what I need most especially if your animating characters which is my case.
