I Tried Writing like Neil Gaiman for 3 Days

Neil Gaiman is a writer that I really look up to, so I wanted to try writing like him for my "Famous Authors Writing Routine series". Here is a breakdown of Neil Gaiman’s writing ritual:
- He writes the first draft by hand in a notebook, all the way through before typing it up as a second draft.
- He writes every day, even if he’s uninspired. Does not belive in writer’s block.
- He keeps a second book on the back burner to help him combat blocks.
- He finishes the stories that he starts.
- He reads outside his genre.

I found myself to be exhausted rapidly when I write on my laptop, even on my phone when I'm laying down. I decided to try writing longhand a few months ago and it was transformative. I enjoyed writing a lot more and got a much, much higher word count than when I worked on my laptop. My hands now forever remain with a trace of ink on my palm (I'm a leftie) but I just smile when I see it, I've even been feeling a little happier since I began this method because I get farther into my stories.
