Unpopular opinion: I don’t like shape tape 🙈 it’s so dry under my eyes and cakey looking even when I use just a little. It’s weird because I don’t have dry skin really either.

I have this same problem! Same case with the hyped up CoverGirl concealer that’s supposed to be a dupe for Shape Tape. Can anyone recommend a concealer as full coverage as these two that isn’t so drying and unflattering for texture?

Catherine Wismann I really like the Milani conceal and perfect concealer! It has good coverage and in my opinion isn’t drying like those two. Hope this helps!

@@catherinewismann2184 I'm 50 this past August and I really, really like my "splurge" of Becca Undereye Brightening Corrector ($32 USD) and Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer in the Brightener 160 shade (they offer several shades), usually under $9 USD. NOW, if yo're looking to conceal something elsewhere on the face, you'll more than likely want a skin-shade matching one, and the Maybelline is decent for that. I picked up a mini Tarte Shape Tape at the Ulta checkout line in store for $12 and wasn't impressed (from that way of getting one to try, very limited shades, not their fault, really) and have been experimenting using THAT for an eyeshadow primer so I don't waste my money. Cheers :)

I have ALWAYS used Estee Lauder Double Wear. With all the new launches, I honestly felt like everyone moved on from this classic. I am so happy to know that this is still a staple for others! YES!!! I had the exact same problem with the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer slipping off my nose!!! That's why I stopped using it and I actually started using the Tarte Timeless Smoothing primer and that works a lot better for me!!!

The Double Wear is simply the best foundation i have ever worn. It does not move and my shades (i have a summer and a winter shade) are sooo on point! I have a few foundations, that look pretty on me but no one is that perfect. Thank you for this video. The YSL matte lip stains are AMAZING. I’ve seen people say that they taste weird, or the pigment isn’t enough for them.. but I love a sheer, water based lip stain! They’re beautiful and I don’t think they taste bad at all. Lol.

I'm a drugstore make up die-hard, but two things I will always splash the cash for are It Cosmetics CC cream in the matte formula and Fresh sugar lip treatments. I have never found anything that touches those two in terms of how wonderful they feel on the skin 😊

I just made a post about how I felt this was one of the most classy and beautiful looks I've seen Allie do. The cool shadows made her eyes pop even before the glitter in the centre. I can't handle glitter or even shimmer now, due to sensitivity but I don't think it really needed the glitter to look wonderful. Here's to more COOL Tones!

My eyeshadow splurge that I love is the Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes pallette. Such a pretty, neutral, quad. I also love the CT Very Victoria lipstick. I've gone through four tubes. It's a fantastic formula, and a color that works really well for me.

The Lancome blue eye makeup remover. Gentle, doesn't burn my eyes even when taking up heavy layers of makeup including glitters. I hate buying it but love Lash Paradise water proof mascara and it's the ONLY remover I found that made it really easy to take off (I wear several layers . Love it) it's $40 for the big bottle which seems ridiculous but it's seriously THE best. Also doesn't burn my eyes. And I can apply makeup to the area including eyeshadow very soon after and it doesn't mess it up (including powder eyeshadow, it doesn't leave a weird film. )

The Tatcha silk is a daily must for me. It makes the cheap foundations look great. I have found less is best. Warm it up on your fingers and that's all I do.

Not to take anything away from Allie WHATSOEVER, but I have been looking for the same type of thing. "Mature skin" is not the same as young skin. I was first referred to Wayne Goss by a friend & from there found Mrs. Melisaa M, who refers to both Wayne & Allie in various videos. Also Nikol Johnson is great for older women--very empowering & uplifting too. Hope this gives some good advice for us older gals & didn't offend Allie! Love, hugs & kiss

Great video Allie...you look so beautiful in those colors. I too feel a splurge moment any time I purchase Tacha. And every time I purchase a Tacha product, it’s worth it. Tacha’s Silk Canvas is a tricky product to use, but the results are lovely. The most important thing to remember is not to over-apply. Although it seems like “the size of a piece of rice” just couldn’t possibly be enough, using more makes the product on one’s skin seem very oily. My 2 favorite YSL lippies are the Slim Matte lipstick in #17. It's a comfortable matte that doesn't dry out my mid 40s lips but it stays put nicely. For an everyday choice I LOVE the Oil-in-Stick in color #89. My daughter loves color #87. Amazing on the lips because of the super conditioning ingredients. Not super long lasting but it's easy to reapply because its soft and a beautiful more sheer lipstick. Those are my favorite lipstick options. As for their glosses, their Glaze & Gloss is TO DYE FOR! #2 and #3 are perfect for over a lipstick to add that crushed diamond effect. #4 and #5 are perfect on their own for a your lips but dipped in diamonds. If you can't tell, I LOVE YSL lippies!♥️♥️

I have not tried the CT primer, but form your description it reminds me of the Catrice glow & care primer. It is just slightly scented, a really nice scented (usually I do not like scented face products, but I truly do not mind this one), it gives a gorgeous glow even with foundation layered on top and I'm suprised that it extends my wear time.

The palette of Natasha Denona (Metropolis Palette) is clearly my major splurge, I got it yesterday on the mail (with some scattered eyeshadows from Hourglass and the new Stila’ s magnificent eyeshadow kit) and I feel like a kid on Christmas!!! YSL tatouage couture liquid matte lip is TO DIE FOR! I love nu interdit and rouge tatouage! I just ordered coral anti-mainstream and true orange because it doesn’t move and lasts all day and layers well and that’s what I need in a red/not nude lip color! Hope you like it!

I think you do the best eyeshadow of most of the influencers I follow. Either that or your eye shape REALLY suits eyeshadow. I know you have a preference for warmer tones, but your cool and neutral eyeshadow looks are definitely stunning. I personally prefer cool/neutral tones over warmer tones and I think grey eyeshadow is the essence of sophistication.

At work I've been asking lady customers the moisturizers they depend on and one lady in particular has spectacular skin. I found out she uses cle de peau moisturizers which clock in at the low range 535 and at the high end 1000 lol

The Silk Canvas slides off my nose too, as do most primers. I don’t put moisturizer on my nose anymore and that seems to help a little! I agree with all the other comments, this eyeshadow look is one of your best ever!!
